A sizzling film noir train ride. Tough-tender cops, a gangster's moll, ruthless killers, a kid who keeps getting in everyone's way and a fat man who is a bad guy, or is he?
A hot trip, vintage 1952.
The screenplay by Earl Felton for Richard Fleischer's acclaimed suspenseful crime melodrama "The Narrow Margin" - one of the best "B" movies ever made.

Based on a story by Martin Goldsmith and Jack Leonard, this fast paced thriller is set on a train bound from Chicago to Los Angeles, the film introduces Charles McGraw as the hostile protector of the gangster's widow, played in classically tough style by Marie Windsor. She is scheduled to testify before a grand jury. The trio of gangsters sent to kill her are not certain which of their passengers is their target.

No padded scenes in this 70 minute crackerjack of a ride! With many twists in character and plot, typical of classic noir film.
Also starring Jacqueline White and Queenie Leonard.
Film only cost $230,000 to make and became one of RKO's best sleepers in the studio's history.
73 pages plus 16 pages of stills from the film.
