Makunouchi fights the Filipino champion Malcom Gedo. And boy oh boy, 'The Magician' is a piece of work...

Gedo sucks as a villain and it makes this fight a complete chore to read through. I hope this fight ends quickly in the next volume cause it’s not great at all.

Osea entiendo que la gente odie al tipo contra el que pelea Ippo, pero para no es "quiero dejar de leer molesto" es "ROMPELE LA CARA Y BAILA RN SU TUMBA" clase de molesto

Hajime no Ippo: Volumes #81-83 were very good. Morikawa really kept me tense to figure out Gedo's secret to distorting Ippo in the ring. Once it was shown, I wasn't as impressed, but it was definitely clever. Ippo used his past experiences to beat Gedo. His fists were very heavy in these volumes as he fought to prove that you shouldn't throw a fight for money. If his tenacity was enough, you'll have to read to find out. Unexpected things happen in boxing.
