“I married him because I loved him, but once our love was consummated, it was followed by loneliness as if that was how it was supposed to be. There can be nobility in grieving an unrequited love, but what about an achieved love, one that has given us only this shabby daily life?”

Very interesting read. I wonder how many Korean women feel this way even today. The book was very short and I was left wondering if the guy ever decided to change his ways.

"She was twenty-one and wanted to look pretty for her boyfriend, more out of genuine affection than superficiality." I have nothing negative to say. Go read it.
