Sage Sayings: Inspiring Native American Passages for Leaders

Rate this book
Sage Sayings is a compilation of some of the most inspiring, thought provoking, and sagacious words we have ever read. We certainly take no credit in penning these sage sayings nor can we, with much certainty, guarantee their authenticity. Nevertheless, the works, we are very certain, will cause you to pause, reflect, and perhaps even reprioritize. The collection includes proverbs, prayers, and quotations that we believe were written or spoken by a group of very wise men and women. As far as we can determine the origin of each of these seminal passages was a Native American. The compilation includes about 500 sayings we discovered.

A White husband and wife openly crowd sourced the stories in this book on the internet, so you know what that means... inauthentic content. Their website is set up to take in any and all stories contributed. I could make up a Native American proverb, or saying, or prayer, submit it, and they would post it on their site and then probably use it in their next book. Why not legitimately research authentic scholarly texts, and interview Native American spiritual leaders and then donate the proceeds back to indigenous organizations. White authors need to stop trying to make money from BIPOC cultures. I'm reading an ARC right now and it's obvious the author got the proverbs she used from this book. The author of the book I'm reading is also not Native American. Good grief.
