Work Stuff -- I've spent many years working high-tech in Silicon Valley at both large companies and start-ups. This has given me plenty of war stories and a rich understanding of how things work in the valley. I use this as a backdrop to my stories.

Family Stuff -- I'm a mom of a wonderful teenage daughter.

Book Stuff --
Coaching my daughter's soccer team was the inspiration for the Princess series. I watched all these wonderful girls and imagined what they would be like in ten years.

The Prince stories were inspired by all the single 30-somethings I know who are all working hard and still looking for that someone special.

The Reunion series was motivated by me going back to my high school reunion. The love stories are all from my imagination but many of the interactions were real.

Background Stuff --
Most of my stories take place in Silicon Valley. Not only do I live in Silicon Valley but I find it a unique and dynamic place with lots of smart people who work really hard. It also has its own culture I rarely find correctly represented in our media. I think most people who write about Silicon Valley have never worked at a Silicon Valley high-tech company. In other words, they really don't understand why it is the way that it is, they just write about the manifestations of what they see. I hope my books are a fun and an under-the-cover look, at high-tech Silicon Valley-style.

When I was looking for a second location for my stories, I wanted a place that would be different from Silicon Valley. That's why I chose Western New York -- where I grew up. I liked that it was three thousand miles away so the weather was different, the land was different, and it has a very different economic base.

Why I write --
A few years ago I had a cardiac arrest, spent four days in a coma, and lost ten days of my memory. With my damaged heart, I spent the rest of the year laying on my couch trying to get oxygen to my muscles and reading ... a lot. I found I liked books that have a first-person narrative, are relationship-driven and have a happy ending. These three characteristics were in all romance novels.

My Niche --
What I didn't see in most of the romance books was intelligent women with non-traditional jobs, a strong group of friends, and a loving relationship with their families. Since I have no desire to try to fix a broken man or date an unrepentant bad boy I found the typical romance men to be unappealing. That doesn't mean my hero's don't have issues. It's just their issues can be solved by opening up and falling in love with a great woman.

Where I get my ideas --
I got my idea for my books from life. My first series “The Princesses” is about 20-something men and women who live in Silicon Valley and are transitioning from college to full adulthood. For my second series, “The Princes”, I aged the protagonists up so they are dealing with issues people in their 30's face. With my third series “Reunion” I felt the issues and lifestyle of adults in their late thirties were universal and the stories did not need to be tied to Silicon Valley.

Kiss Me in Silicon Valley is Book 2 of the Princesses of Silicon Valley/The Juliette Trilogy. Juliette’s journey continues as not one but two delicious men—Zach and Dr. Nate, are pursuing her. The brilliant use of language draws the reader into her world. Juliette is an engineer and Ms Claire does not dumb down the language or the reality of Juliette’s work experience. As well, the author cleverly weaves pop culture into the story.

The series continues to be character driven as it is told from Juliette’s point of view. The primary and secondary personalities all have unique characteristics. The author has included an appendix of the characters and it is an excellent tool. The reader will enjoy the author’s use of humour, making all the situations believable. The chapter titles give insight to the Juliette’s upcoming challenges and/or events.

Overall Kiss Me in Silicon Valley is a most enjoyable read. Looking forward to Book 3 in the trilogy. Will she choose Zach or Dr. Nate?

I have currently read the most exciting novel ever. It slowly builds up with excitement. Getting to that moment that you as a reader have been waiting for but then the author uses her talent and keeps you guessing as to what exactly will happen next.

OMG!

It’s that good! Anita Claire has done it again! Her talents as an amazing writer have won over me. I love reading her spectacular, hot, steamy, and intoxicating series ever. I am reading her second book in the wonderful alluring romance series. Kiss Me in Silicon Valley is out of this word! I love the charming and funny characters especially the tiny rant that Juliette has with her roommate. It continues where book one left off with Juliette’s dilemma of deciding between two hot sexy guys. Will she choose the swimmer Zach or Dr. Nate? Will she choose the one that kisses her first? Or will she fall for the Doctor? Plus, her roommate is dating a hot football player. And wakes up Juliette with her fun nights and when Juliette wakes, she realizes it wasn’t her roommate’s boyfriend that was there last night. A fun and interesting read unlike any other. I highly recommend getting your hands on the first, second, and all of the other remaining books the series. I could not just read book one and not know what happens next. I had to read book two! And I am going to drive right into book three. Overall, Kiss Me in Silicon Valley is a must read romance and I rate it a five out of five stars.

Kiss Me in Silicon Valley is not an easy read, that isn't to say that it isn't an amazing book, it's just not easy. It isn't like some other novels that are the literary equivalent of a TV Dinner that you just consume quickly to avoid tasting it. The characters are full bodied, and just as in real life there are some that are preferable over others. Juliette is sweetly insecure, she's not the annoying type of heroine who thinks she's chubby at a size six, she's just hung up on the social cues and norms that can cause any of us to stumble along when it comes to romantic relationships and it is precisely that quality that makes it easy to cheer her on.

I have a definite preference for who I would like to see Juliette end up with at this point, but because she herself is so lovable I can see that whomever she actually does end up choosing I'm just going to be happy as long as she's happy.

Damn I love this woman's cliff hangers! Wow, did I just say I love a cliffhanger? I did. I don't know if subtle is strong enough, but they just leave you thinking, "Holy F*@k!"

Zach finally jumps off the starting gate and into his lane, texting, wining and dining Juliette. Juliette's confusion about whether or not she was just in the friend zone with Zach becomes clear.

When Nate makes his way across country, you can just start feeling the tension building with this story. Multiple men, CONVERGING. Juliette's conscience is getting the best of her. She can't decide between the two and starts making some poor choices driven by lust and confusion.

One evening out and things finally converge. Her hand may be forced; a decision will have to be made. Who will she choose?

I'm loving this story. The tension is building and I may only get 3 hours of sleep tonight, but I've got to read on.

WOW, hot! The first book does a lot of character building and gives you the sweet but geeky Juliette who is interested in two guys, Zach the local guy who is a swimmer like Juliette, and Nate the doctor who lived off in the distance and is her text buddy. The story really starts to hot up when her school friend Grey is thrown into the mix and Juliette no longer knows which way is up! Nate has now moved to California so is now most definitely also on the scene!! Juliette's life has just become more complicated.

Loved it and the hormone turmoil. ..and on to book 3

This was a light read you could pick up and put down reading a chapter a day and it was exciting enough you'd contemplate what's going to happen next time you pick up the book. It did build to the point I read way more than a chapter a day and finish the last half of the book in a few hours. It is young and fun as you love vicariously through Juliette's fun dates and encounters with friends. I can't wait to read what's next.

After left hungry from the first book 'Meet Me' in the Juliette Trilogy I couldn't wit to read this book! Juliette's dating two sexy guys at the same time. I kept rooting for Zach but then I really wanted her to be with Nate. When Juliette's roommate takes her to a football game Juliette gets national attention but not the kind she wants. I really liked this second installment in the Juliette trilogy.

Another really easy read that was fun and got me in the mood for summer and all the excitement it brings. This series so far has been a new and enjoyable read with really fun and lifelike characters that I find very easy to fall into. Anyone who has been to university and can identify their friendship group using characters from TV or film will like me recognise and fall in love with the characters in this book.

The main character in this book is Juliette, in this book she is still struggling with the two men in her life and is trying to balance these men with the help of her university friends ‘the princesses’. Juliette in this book goes through tremendous character development and turns from small wallflower to a slightly more confident version of that person and I expect there will be more growth in the next book.

The secondary characters include all of the princesses, Cassie the roommate, Nate the hot doc and Zach the swimmer. The princesses as always are supportive in their own way and have issues going on in their own life however they still make the effort to see each other regularly and catch up in what is going on in each other’s lives. Cassie is still a pain in the arse and attention seeker and is still in some kind of relationship with the same guy from the first book. Nate is a lot more present in this book with him and Juliette dating on a more serious level whereas Zach gets side tracked a little bit.

The pacing and storyline in this book make it more enjoyable. And the character development through these first two books shows that this series still have a lot to offer can I can’t wait for book 3 in the series to see who our leading lady will choose.

4 stars thanks for letting me review these books 

Truth be told, my first thought when I started this book was what was the name of this book again? I can see anything past that hot body on the cover *drooling* (who's the model? I feel like stalking him...).

This is book #2 of the Princesses of Silicon Valley and is a continuation of book #1 (same characters and same storyline).

As I said previously, I relate with Juliette since my job is her job too...I don't work at Silicon Valley though. But every geek conversation with her dad and friends makes me feel good since I have that kind of conversations myself every single day.
I laughed a lot with a paragraph where she says that after a lot of hours analyzing a code she wanted to stab her eyes and that whomever did the code wrote like 500 lines and she'd have needed just 5 lines to do the same. A week before I read that, I said something similar to my friends. So, yes, I enjoy the geek part of this series.

Back on the storyline, Juliette still has to choose from two hot guys that are pursuing her since book one. I thought I was team Zach but I'm having doubts and might need just a little push to change to team Nate.

Like book#1, it's a nice story, fun and easy read. It's written in a way where you are easily drown on the story and you feel the end comes too soon. Heads up: cliffhanger here.

PS: I didn't like Gray at all...

Kiss Me In Silicon Valley is book two of the Princess Trilogy Princesses of Silicon Valley by Anita Claire. It is not as erotic as book one; but it does have its moments. The book is narrated by Juliette. It continues right where book one ended.
Juliette shares a condo with Cassie who has been her friend since kindergarten. However, the two are diametrically different. While Juliette is more old fashioned in her beliefs and her actions towards men, Cassie is completely open and aggressive. She is definitely high maintenance. What Cassie wants, Cassie gets. She is looking for a rich husband number two. She needs someone to pay the bills. She is dating Luke Tomlin, an NFL player who is definitely rich. However, he isn’t committing to Cassie. They have an argument and Luke leaves town. To pass the time and to make her feel good, Cassie hooks up with Damian. Luke returns early but Damian goes out the patio door to avoid getting caught. Cassie thinks it is perfectly all right which blows Juliette’s mind. Cassie makes up with Luke and talks him into a new outfit to the tune of $3000.
Meanwhile, Juliette is having second and third thoughts about dating both Zach and Nate. Why can’t she make up her mind? Now Nate is moving down from Minnesota and things could easily get out of hand. What is she to do?

A fun, quick read—especially for people into computer programming!
Kiss Me in Silicon Valley is the second book in a series of romance novels set in Silicon Valley, CA. This book focuses on the main character’s relationships at work, with friends and with potential romantic partners. The previous book introduced us to the main character (Juliette) as she transitioned into her adult working life and let go of a past relationship.
In this book, Juliette struggles between her personal values and the opinions of others related to her romantic relationships. Professionally, she also struggles to assert herself while maintaining harmony with coworkers. She is a software engineer. Several of the scenes take place at work and discuss a coding challenge that is both political and technical, which lends fun to readers involved the tech industry.
There is a graphic erotic scene in the book so I would not recommend it for young readers. Beyond that scene, there are other bits of strong, descriptive language--but it is contained enough that readers who might not like that language can skip those parts. There is much more to this book that just romance. I enjoyed it and look forward to the next book in the series.

When it rains men, it pours!!! This book felt very short…. Or it flew by because it was so engaging. This book focused mostly on Juliette’s love life but it wasn’t slutty or cheap like most other love stories. Like the title suggests, there’s a whole lotta kissing going on! And steamy kissing at that! I liked this book because even though there were 3 possible love interests, each was unique and organic in its own way. Heck – it made ME confused! Going in, I liked Z best but going out… I DON’T KNOW!!!! HOWEVER… I was a bit confused as to why J would get tingles every time one of the guys would touch or kiss her. I mean, aren’t those butterfly feelings reserved for your “True Love”? That’s supposed to be one of the guides to help you make the right romance decision! Makes me think her “love-dar” is hormonal and under-developed.

BTW…. G is an a$$hole!! A lifelong friendship up in flames… oh well, good riddance!

SO… who’s she gonna choose?!?!?!? Let’s find out! ON TO BOOK 3!!

I enjoyed this book much more than the first one. Juliette has gone from quiet engineer regrouping from her breakup with a long time boyfriend to almost another person entirely and she doesn't know how to handle it. Nate, Zach and Gray are the three guys in her life. Gray is a longtime friend that has secretly had a crush on Juliette, Nate is a Doctor that she met when his sister took a block shot at her in a soccer game, and Zach the swimming adonis that she has crushed on since she saw him at swim practice one day. Three men, all contenders, but she is having a hard time deciding what to do. Well, Gray is a friend...not a boyfriend and the other two, yep both boyfriend material. Her inner self has talks about what she is doing and it's pretty funny, it reminds me of the angel on one shoulder while the devil is on the other and they are both telling you different things to do. I am rooting for one in particular and I can't wait to see how this all plays out in the next book.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I won't lie, I went into this book with a lot of reservations. I didn't really like the first book. Juliette was too perfect doing too many things with too many friends. It was hard to keep up. However I did like this book more. Her sports activities were kept to a minimum, she didn't have more friends introduced and it was less confusing who was who in this one since they seemed to hang out in smaller groups. Overall this book was better than the first one but don't tackle this one without reading that one because you will probably be kind of confused.

I liked that we got to know more of Juilette as a person in this book. I don't really like her though. She seems really judgy and kind of stuck up. I like the guys she is "dating" they both made this story bearable for me. Cassie, her crazy roommate is ridiculous but I like her. I even like the concept of the seven princesses.

Kiss Me in Silicon Valley is the second book in the The Princesses of Silicon Valley series by Anita Claire and it's just as great as the first, if not better!

This book picks up right where the first one leaves off, following Juliette as she builds her relationships with the two guys, Zach the hot swimmer and Nate the sexy doctor. Furthermore, Claire takes time to develop a story that depicts the real life stresses of having a career, a family, a roommate, and a circle of friends.

Right from the beginning Claire does a great job of getting the reader hooked on the plot, shows a great deal of character development, and keeps the story line down to earth, yet keeping it interesting. The flow of her writing makes it easy to read and enjoy the story being told.

Looking forward to the next installment! Would definitely recommend.

This is second book of Princesses of Silicon Valley. I could not wait to read on the continuation of Juliette's love life. Juliette Cole is finally get on track with her job and her other activities. She is confused and excited to have two guys interested in her. Zach the swimmer is too lay back and seems he can't make up his mind. He needs to put more effort. I really like Nate. He has been attentive since day one. I really think Nate is the one for Juliette. Juliette love Zach's body, but beauty goes skin deep. Nate is interested in Juliette's mind and body. It was good to see how both men can be with Juliette. The princesses crack me up. I love their views on each other's love life. It has been laughing throughout the books. What will happen next...

Steamy

This book is very steamy with lots of fun characters to follow. Juliette is still trying to decide between Zach and Nate when a third guy sweeps in to kick things up a notch. The princesses are still around with all their supportive girly talk and gossip.

On the work front, Juliette solves the problem, but is worried she will not be taken seriously when they find out her dad helps out.

As always, I enjoy a book where I also learn about new things or places. Being from Arkansas myself, I enjoyed googling places in San Francisco that I had never heard of. Most came from Juliette and Nate's romantic date. Looking forward to book three.

The middle book of the Juliette trilogy picks up right where the last one left off. It only gets 3 stars because it is the middle book and Juliette is no closer to choosing a man. The only reason I am able to stand this character is that she finds seeing two guys at once to be morally wrong even though her friends keep encouraging her to keep seeing them until she chooses the one she wants. The book does read very fast. I was surprised when I was done with it. I am looking forward to reading the last book in the series to see if she chooses the guy I think she should.

Juliette is torn between Zach the swimmer with great abs and Nate the doctor who texts her every day. Add in an old school friend and you have three guys who all want her. What a problem to have. Her roommate is as crazy as ever. She dates all three guys and is torn apart trying to choose. But the question is will the guys all find about each other before she makes her choice? Good book looking forward to the next one.

Second book is way more fun than the first one. Let's go into some action. And Juliette isn't so annoying anymore, and I got used to those princesses. And cheering for my guy team is much fun. Choose, woman, choose!!! Are you blind? Don't keep us waiting. I really liked this book. It's better than first one.

Juliette is caught up with two guys. Not sure which one to try for a serious relationship. Second guessing herself along the way, is it right to date two different men? Is this cheating? Her friends encourage her to just go with it!!! Will she choose Zach or Nate? Reading on to find out.
