She just...needs to do something. She's just far too passive. I want to like this, but I hate how she's just going along with everything.

Finally! I was able to read this volume cover to cover, after just skimming the first two because they were sooo corny. The heroine's completed her outward transformation and you're seeing glimpses of interior character improvement as well. The underdog hero is also getting recognition in his own off-the-beaten path way. You also get some clues to why the main character/villain would grow up so twisted.
