As a child, I used to go on vacations with my family. During those trips, I never really learned any of the local languages aside from a few basic words (and let's be honest, I was too busy having fun). However, on an extended visit to Asia as an adult, I began to realize how much I was missing out on by not becoming FLUENT in the native language. So I decided to start learning Chinese for real! And that habit continued with me even after I left the country to return home.
Learning one foreign language opened up a passion within me now for learning many different kinds of languages. It made me want to learn the various languages of the different people I met in my own city. I began that journey with the places I used to visit as a child.
I‘ve applied what I learned from my University Studies in Applied Neuroscience along with my own research on this topic to become fluent in multiple languages. My passion grew so much that I even taught the languages to my students!
My credentials extend to the many years of experience mastering my craft, my University Degree, and my pure love of learning about different maps, cultures & languages. With over 20 years of experience helping people, NOW I want to help YOU master your target language and achieve fluency.
I understand how learning new languages can completely TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE and open up new worlds of opportunity to help you relate to other human beings on this earth who are different from you. This creates a positive impact and an outward ripple effect for us all across our green & blue marble we all share as our home. I found this book to be middle of the road on tricks for learning languages faster. Some interesting info but nothing that I was able to really implement and be amazed at.
I found practicing with the language in everyday life, doing my everyday things and talking to my family was the best proponent of learning a new language faster.

Extremely practical. it has renewed my determination to learn Italian.
I’ve tried many resources and language learning tools. I’ve paid for courses and have Pimsler. I live in Milan and am surrounded by native speakers and immersed in the culture. Yet, after eight years, I’m stuck at an elementary level.
This book helped me overcome my personal obstacles and convinced me that I can do it. There is nothing overwhelming about it. I especially liked how free and paid tools were presented with their pros and cons, while none were endorsed or pushed. Plenty of free resources were also discussed as well as pre to all steps I can take toward improving.
While I’ve heard of or used several of the suggested resources, I’ve never know how best to use them. This book outlines the way to implement them for keeping things interesting, making progress, and not feeling like giving up. I’ve already started practicing some of the advice and have a renewed determination to get to fluency.

Encouraged again!
Learning a language has in the past been a struggle for me. It’s always a goal I set for the year and then fail to meet. I love the way this was written and the suggestions Ryan gives. Yes you can learn a language and Ryan will teach you how!! I love this imagery: “Tossing a newcomer into an unfamiliar environment is like dropping a kid into the deep end of a pool in the hopes that they would learn to swim. In all likelihood, it won't. However, you must not get too involved in the language or you may drown.”

Helpful information
This book is good for those who may be looking at learning a new language with a lot of time. I think there are sections that could have been eliminated and the author could have gone directly to the other critical points of the book. I found his insight helpful, especially regarding Neuro plasticity.

This book is a scam. Probably written by ChatGPT. Riddled with grammatical and punctuation errors. Basically just regurgitated information from Benny Lewis' Fluent in 3 Months. Also, there is no information about "Ryan Johnson" on the internet, except this book on Amazon. Don't waste your time or money.

IF I can give a zero stars, I would! This is a huge mess of bad writing! Some of the citations are web articles about sports and no scientific journal references. Half way through the book, I noticed it went from learning non-english languages to ESL. The information of the author stated he studied brain science and language learning but won't even state the type of degree, specialization within the field or even the university. I didn't have to read it fully but speed read this hot mess. Save your money! Don't waste on this trash.
