An error was made.

The Quaww want Selena dead. The Verya want her captured. And somewhere between two galactic wars and a pregnancy that complicates everything, she's supposed to keep an empire from fracturing at the seams.
She is the Beacon. The bridge. The living proof that fractured species can unite.
Instead, she's become the reason two wars have merged into one.
Every male who has claimed her is willing to burn the galaxy down to keep their family intact.
But Selena is done sitting by while others bleed for her.
She will become whatever weapon she needs to be to shield the people she loves.
She will plant herself between her clan and annihilation, between her unborn child and a war that has her name written across it.
Because the Quaww miscalculated. The Verya made their move too soon.
And now the only question left:
Who made the greater error?

Error is the seventh book in a space fantasy alien romance series with steamy scenes between the human heroine and her very alien heroes. This is the seventh book in a series that’s meant to be read in order.

Selena is done playing around.

There was a lot to unpack with this book, with Selena and her clan stepping up and going to war, especially after how the last book ended.

Selena has collected her finale mate? I think. While her clan is being driven in all sorts of directions. She's done playing nice and hiding behind those she loves... wanting to be able to both defend herself, her children and her cubs.

Selena and her clan grew so much in this book, moving past jealousy to focus on what matters - love and safety.

While this book did end with a bang, I trust the author to give us the closure we need.

The series timeline says there's only 2 more books left of the series. I wonder how Selena and her clan will end the war on two fronts... and come out together/happy. Cause they deserve their peace and quiet. =(

WTF!!!

Ok, so to begin with, I absolutely adore this series, and I am so excited to read them. I have alarms on my phone for release days. That being said, 99.9% of this book freaking love it. But, WTF with the ending! I certainly hope that is a cliffhanger and not the end because I will be pissed, and possibly cry or rage cry.

Selena and her family were enjoying themselves at the festival when the worst news broke out. Not just the Quaww declaring war, but them invading Aldawi space with casualties. Her constellation that was just stabilizing will be pulled apart as everyone has a role to play in protecting their people and their family. But underneath the battle there's something else, something insidious sneaking in. Something that wants what her genetics have unlocked. And they've taken hostages to fracture their opponents, those that would protect Selena and her unborn daughter.

Each new arc in the storyline adds something incredible to the saga. This isn't a fluffy quick read. It has drama but moments of happiness and bonding, too. The layers and detail make it something to keep returning to, to reread again and again, as you pick up on things you might have missed the 1st read through. She doesn't just collect mates like accessories, she has to feel a connection, a pull towards them. Something about each of them soothes and enhances her life. I'm curious as to how this newest bond will develop. Sure, he was dancing around the edges of her life even as they were drawn to each other. But deep emotions haven't caught up to where they are yet. And with that ending? Oof. What a way to keep a reader in suspense!

The story drags on and is too repetitive

I have enjoyed this series and these characters. I'm anxious to see how it all unfolds. The cons: these last books seem to be dragging the story out with too much filler. There is a lot of redundancy. Thoughts, while phrased differently, repeat numerous times. In some cases, actual sentences and phrases are repeated like cut and paste. Even literally back to back. It seems like editing was rushed and the book drags out minor plots instead of developing in a natural and entertaining way. I caught myself skimming a lot. Still, I'm invested in these characters and am curious to see what happens.

After a brief vacation Selena heads back to Destima to prepare for what’s ahead. War with the Quaww is looming on the horizon and the Verya are looking for Selena. All of her husbands have their own tasks from leading the war to guarding Destima. Selena is exhausted and worried and it is taking a toll on her and her pregnancy. As things progress Selena has her hands full.

This was an excellent and emotional installment of Selena’s story and I can’t wait for the next book to see how she handles all these situations.

war and loyalty

We have a new bond mate that Selena has taken. She now has to integrate him into the new family dynamic. However there is a new twist that has everyone in an uproar the Qwarrr has now declared war. As we see how the new bond-mate deals with war, new family, kids, and Selena we see what he really is made of, I thought Selena was fearless in her determination of trying to keep her family together no matter what. I admire her tenacity to do what it takes.

This Author Is Killing Me

Honestly, this ending is enough to kill me. I love this series, the characters are wonderful and interesting and the storyline is intriguing. Now, I just need the next book, because that wasn't a cliffhanger, that was an EXPLOSION literally😉
