This I was one of my favorite reads !!!! I have had a passion for reading historical fiction for many years.
Particularly that of WW2 and the stories of Germany and
Poland! The lives of families torn apart from war and the concentration camps. The strength and perseverance of the men and woman were amazing and heartbreaking.
The main character of the book showed both strength and purpose. When he left Europe he actually settled in California. Oakland to be exact. He lived in the same neighborhood as I did. His children went to the same school as I had. Amazing!! Just hope you enjoy this story as much as I have!!!

A bit tiresome with self praise

Excellent report of his life, however I got tired of his constantly praising himself calling himself brilliant and more. He may have been, but to constantly considering out loud that you think you are the hardest worker ever, the brightest of the brightest get a bit tooooooo much.

Very well written

I really enjoyed this book. He's such a kind soul who never deserved the way he or millions of other Holocaust victims were treated. Thank you for writing your book about your life.

Gripping

Every narrative is similar, horrifying and totally personal and unique. I have read so many and feel a responsibility, just to know and to hear.
