The book covers Morse's life in detail before he became known as an inventor. The author has chronologically listed and displayed all Morse's paintings which is an incredible collection. It is hard to believe he was such an accomplished artist but is known mostly as an inventor in modern days. Painting was his life up to the time he was in his forties, but he got so disappointed by the financial hardship of being an artist that decided not to paint anymore. I was lucky the book was available from the library of an art college, otherwise it is very difficult to find it.
