Brewing Trouble kept me on my toes as I tried to help solve the murder of a particularly rude man. This man was known throughout town for visiting every store and making rude comments to the owners.

Unfortunately, Rachel Gallo falls victim to his misbehavior, as the man dies while sitting in her café, Racchin, sipping a cup of coffee. Almost everyone in town views Rachel as the prime suspect. Determined to clear her name, she embarks on a personal investigation to find the man’s killer and prove her innocence. As rumors swirl, her reputation and her café begin to suffer.

Brewing Trouble is packed with suspense and mystery that will keep you guessing on every page about what happened to this man and why he ended up dead in Rachel’s café.

This was an ok, average, mystery read.

A man ends up dying in our main character, Rachel’s, cafe. From here accusations start flying, and Rachel’s business takes a major hit. Rachel starts playing detective, trying to figure out who is behind the murder.

The story had a nice flow, with an interesting plot - nothing really stood out as being extreme good (I may have even thought about DNF-ing the book the first few chapters😬)

I don’t know what it was, but the story fell a bit flat - the writing style wasn’t the best, and I wasn’t a big fan of the characters - Everyone was introduced in such a rapid way that they all got jumbled in my mind.

All in all, I think this was an ok book, with a good plot and suspense. With a bit more thought behind certain things this could have been even better.

Two and a half sugars. This is a big mystery that starts from fairly early in the story. It’s a murder mystery with much of the cast of characters affected by the whole situation. In order to solve the murder some impersonation is afoot. The clues come a little slowly at first but the is a definitive solution. The characters are easy to follow and the main character run a magic cafe, as she never has to work in the kitchen. A small town with a big personalities.

When a grumpy businessman keels over while drinking a cup of coffee in Rachel's cafe, she's forced to jump into the investigation in order to save both herself and her cafe. Following the clues, Rachel sifts through the available suspects in a desperate attempt to find the truth. This is an interesting, cozy mystery with enough twists and turns to make it engaging.

This was so fun Rachel owns a Coffee shop and on a typical day a disagreeable man is drinking coffee when he suddenly dies. Rachel is a suspect and to clear her name she goes out and starts questioning the suspects who had a reason to kill Victor. This was a page turner and the danger was real for Rachel. I enjoyed this book and I recommend it.
