If you like taboo reads and a lot of them you’re not going to want to pass up this anthology.

Normally, I get slightly intimidated by an anthology because there’s a lot in them and I don’t usually read the whole thing. That was not the case this time.

I DEVOURED THIS ONE!!! And would do it again in a heartbeat.

I loved that there were several different dynamics of taboo as well as so many tropes.

Here are my quick reviews:

📖 Brothers Bond by Kinsley Kincaid
I NEED MORE!!! This was fast paced and left me needing more. The shock, the tension, the spice, and the ending!!! 😳🥵😬🤯🔥 I don’t know what else to say; I loved it 🖤

📖 Bound By Blood by CJ Riggs
Not one but two, and then him too. 🤐 I won’t spoil who they all are. It’s hot and spicy right from the start.

📖 He's Mine by Roedan Wells
Twins with a touch of unaliving say less. Oh the things Atlas says 🥵. I just loved this dynamic and how these two fit together.

📖 Scars On Our Heart by E.L. Rose
So much trauma but there’s a lot of love. And that ending 😬 I need to know what happens next.

📖 Cream Filled: Part Of The Bedmate Series by Khione King
Twins just know how to share. The build up had just the right dose of tension.

📖 His Bloody Survivor: A Ghostly Taboo Romance by RE Johnson
Ghostly taboo and some extra twisted spookiness. Love never dies.

📖 Forbidden Obsession by Winter Brier
Oh how I love when she is as possessive and unhinged as him. Especially when she says that one line!

📖 Darkest Pain: Part of the Morozov World by Bailey Grayson
Unhinged and primal. And the ending 😯 I will be waiting for more…

📖 His Touch in Despair: The Past’s End by Sullyn Shaw
Comfort in the form of smut even if it takes some convincing for him to participate.

📖 Exalted Miscreants by Violet Knight
This was a sample/preview of what’s to come and I’m hooked. This omegaverse and all the dynamics are going to be very interesting.

📖 Unexpected by Lily Black
Starting off a little bratty and a lot of “we can’t”. Until that line is crossed and then it’s a whole lot of smut.

📖 Rapture & Sin Blood Ties by Demi Wilde
This is a “complex” family. There's suspense and danger. Is there anyone better than family to keep you safe?

📖 Alley Cat by Jennifer DeSantis
The instant connection and flirting had me melting. I was ready for the bit of an emotional rollercoaster these two go through. But it was worth it.

📖 Our Little Secret by E.R. Hendricks
🫣The TW list!! And the story just kept getting more unhinged!

Thiiiissss boook. Yaallllll, you need to read it. I mean, pay attention to the TW’s because, YEAH THEYRE IMPORTANT. But this is the best damn taboo book I have EVER read. There are so many phenomenal stories in here by amazing authors. Some I know and some that are new to me, but regardless. Chefs kiss 💋😇

10/10 just read it.
Also HUGE shoutout to these authors, this anthology is going to an amazing cause and I adore each and every one of you for being willing to create perfectly crafted masterpieces to support a good cause.

Tangled in Taboo is an anthology that has short stories by various authors. (Some of them being my favorite to read) I was a fan of this book as all proceeds go to a mental health charity.

My review is going to be focused on The Darkest Pain by Bailey Grayson. This short story is part of the authors Morosov World. That being said I highly suggest checking your triggers for your own mental health. I thought it was written well even though the full story is coming soon much to my frustration. This to me was just a taste or a glimpse into the characters of Byron and Bishop. It's where one twin is obsessed with the other twin. (As I said check your content warnings) It was an interesting ten chapters and I will be on the lookout for the completed story.

DARKEST PAIN By Bailey Grayson

Dark, twisted and filthy as twins Byron and Bishop become involved in a forbidden relationship. Byron is completely obsessed and possessive. An intense read. I loved the characters.

HIS TOUCH IN DESPAIR: THE PAST'S END By Sullyn Shaw

A uncle /nephew taboo story dealing with
abandonment and despair. Spicy and emotional with dubcon.

Holy Taboo!!! Lucky enough to get an ARC of this anthology. There were many new to me authors in this anthology and many that are known to me and go to authors.
This book has all types of stories that range from cute and innocent unknown taboo, to unknown half siblings, to omegaverse, to DARK BLOODY PSYCHO definitely knew they were blood related!! There is twincest MM and MF kind, uncle/nephew, MFM father/daughter/son (but actually way more complicated lol), half siblings MF, half siblings FMMM sister/brother/father, FMMM half siblings sister/brothers omegaverse.
The more twisted and taboo the better in my opinion. Some stories are short standalones, while others are going to be made into longer stories or part of an already existing world.
For taboo lovers this is not an anthology to miss!! So much delicious depravity and TABOO!!!! A must read!! I cant wait for the longer books that will be coming.

I've never been a huge anthology reader but this sure did grab me! 🔥🖤 So many tropes and so many dynamic taboos. These were amazing short stories that have many characters to love and hate. Not to mention it gave me the chance to experience new authors!

When it comes to this book, it's all in the name! This is a VERY DARK collection of stories with different taboos in each. PLEASE make sure you read the trigger warnings as there are many and your mental health is very important! I especially enjoyed Darkest Pain by Bailey Grayson. Many well written stories with complex characters and plot twists that keep you turning pages throughout. Don't miss out on this book!!

This anthology 👩‍🍳💋! This is a t@b00 anthology so if you don’t like t@b00 don’t read. That said I enjoyed every book that had me hooked from beginning to end I finished much sooner than I thought. I also found many new authors I will be following.

This is a dark and twisted read but is very much steamy. This is about twins Byron and Bishop a very taboo. Byron had a very obsessive and possessive relationship with Bishop. Something happens and they start to live seperate lives. I look forward to teading the whole story.

This was soooo good. There a total of 14 taboo stories in this book and I absolutely enjoyed most of them. Not all of them were a hit for me but most of them were. Some of them were sooo hot, others were a little bit more twisted and bloody and most of them left me wanting more.

I do like how yes the books were all taboo in the same way but they were completely different from each other. I didn't feel like I was reading the same things over again cause the vibes, the plots and the connection the characters had were completely different in each book.

I was so into this book i went to sleep at 3 am knowing I had to get up at 6 cause I just couldn't stop reading. This was my first time reading something by a lot of the authors in this so this was definitely the perfect way to get me into them. I'm definitely gonna be checking a lot of them out.

I did rate each individual book and wrote whatever was on my mind right after finishing them so it's not a full on super good review but these are my thoughts on them.

💠1. BROTHERS BOND BY KINSLEY KINCAID

5⭐ THATS IT??? I NEED MORE. The chemistry these two had was phenomenal. definitely the perfect intro/teaser for their story. The author left me loving them and wanting more.

my only problem with this is how can u not recognize ur own twin brother???? all ya had on was face paint

5⭐️ Super hot read. like I need to go step outside and touch some grass.

💠3. HES MINE BY ROEDAN WELLS

5⭐ I found this book to be so adorable and cute even with the unaliving. Seeing how obsessed atlas was that he had to take care of Ethan's boyfriend cause he wanted him to himself was 😍👌. what made that even better was that ethan loved that Atlas did that just to have him all to himself. What I found adorable was how both of them were completely obsessed with one another. they were really cute together.

💠4. SCARS ON OUR HEARTS BY E.L ROSE

3⭐️ the story kept me entertained enough that I didn't stop reading. Definitely a lot more emotional and a little darker than I was expecting. my only thing was the writing. it wasn't for me so it made me not connect to the story. most definitely curious about what happens next to the characters and how the relationships are gonna develop but don't know if I'll go out of my way to actually read the rest of the story.

💠5. CREAM FILLED BY KHIONE KING

4⭐️ it was really good. characters had amazing chemistry. Just would have liked a little bit more pining and secret touches and looks but overall I enjoyed it a lot. there's no denying how much those two would worship the ground she walks on .

💠 6. HIS BLOODY SURVIVOR BY RE JOHNSON

4⭐️ is it still forbidden/taboo when one of them is a ghost?? 🫣🤭

💠7. FORBIDDEN OBSESSION BY WINTER BRIER

4⭐️ these two were made for each other. they are as equally obsessed and possessive of one another. equally dangerous and deadly. enjoyed this one!!

💠8. DARKEST PAIN BY BAILEY GRAYSON

4⭐️ that ending was so random 😭😭😭 but it's definitely making me wanna check out the other books bc what. liked the characters a lot. there's something about a person being so obsessed with you that it physically hurts them to br away from you.

💠9. HIS TOUCH IN DESPAIR BY SULLYN SHAW

4⭐️ ok I liked this one a lot. it's my first book by this author and it's not going to be my last. I did feel like the characters had a great connection and everything felt super real. Definitely made me root for them a lot.

the only thing was that the dude basically threw himself on vik and didn't take no for an answer 😭. I understood that they have a connection and vik was denying his feelings and that helped me realize that they both want the same thing but I just found it so random. it was a short book so I can't say I super know the character but it just seemed a bit out of character😭😭. but honestly overall I enjoyed it a lot. once you find ur person you don't let go of them.

💠10. EXALTED MISCREANTS BY VIOLET KNIGHT

3⭐️ I felt like there was so much going on and no order 😭😭

💠11. UNEXPECTED BY LILY BLACK

5⭐️ sooo good and spicy. the same way they can't get enough of each other is the same way I can't get enough of them. I need more.

💠12. RAPTURE AND SIN BLOOD TIES BY DEMI WILDE

4⭐️ this book was wild 😭😭 cause why is everyone sleeping with EVERYONE. I feel like this family tree is most definitely a circle. I really liked it, the characters had amazing chemistry. the secrets and murders definitely kept entertained. I would like to know how everything gets resolved, how they get revenge and what secrets need to be uncovered.

💠13. ALLEY CAT BY JENNIFER DESANTIS

4⭐️ liked this one. overall vibe was sweet. it didn't feel super tabooish to me bc they literally just met but it's still forbidden so 🫣. they were cute together from the first meeting they were basically consumed with each other.

the only thing is I would have loved a scene with the ex seeing her happy and loving life without him but overall I enjoyed this one a lot.

💠14. OUR LITTLE SECRET BY E.R HENDRICKS

4⭐️ this was so dark and twisted 😭😭😭😭 definitely had me hooked though I couldn't look away. I think with everything these characters did the taboo part of this was probably the most normal thing that happened 😭😭😭

MM twins with a Halloween theme that has a mysterious secret between the brothers after they cross the line of what is acceptable. This is just a quick tease that will have you wanting to know more.

•Bound By Blood -CJ Riggs:
MFM half siblings & father with a twist of mistaken identity to living together having a lot of taboo moments that will leave you on a wild cliffhanger. You definitely will want more.

•He's Mine - Roedan Wells:
MM twins with one twin having psycho tendencies and wanting to keep his twin as his own while eliminating anyone else. This one is a crazy taboo twisted storyline.

•Scars On Our Heart -EL Rose:
Half siblings and friend. Traumatic pasts that each sibling is unaware of the events that lead them back together and crossing lines that make them both question right from wrong. Now throw in the brother's best friend who seems to have an attraction to both siblings and isn't put off by the idea of them in a relationship. A cliffhanger ending leaves you wanting to know what happens next between them all.

•Cream Filled Parts Of The Bedmates Series -Khione King:
Siblings MFM where the sister pushes her older twin brothers' obsessions to cross the line and give into their depravity. A quick read with HFN ending.

•His Bloody Survivor A Ghostly Taboo Romance -RE Johnson:
Half siblings with a ghostly presence that brings violence, gore, and heavy themes of trauma experienced by both siblings from their mother. This one is wild and ends on a cliffhanger.

•Forbidden Obsession -Winter Brier:
Twin siblings MF with mafia themes and arranged marriage forcing siblings to act on feelings for one another. Dark themes and violence with an HFN ending.

•Darkest Pain Part Of The Morozov World -Bailey Grayson:
MM Twins with stalking and obsession that leads to a game of primal chase of cat and mouse. Violence and psychotic tendencies with extreme obsessive behavior.

•His Touch In Despair The Past's End -Sullyn Shaw:
MM uncle/nephew with the loss of a parent and abandonment issues leading to nephew and uncle as roommates that cross the line and find a bond they both crave and how will they navigate this new life.

•Alley Cat -Jennifer DeSantis:
MF half siblings. Mistaken identity with an instant connection leading to a loss/grief that leads them back together for a second chance. Quick read with a HEA ending.

•Our Little Secret -ER Hendricks:
MFM father/daughter/son. Extreme gore and violence. If you read Where The Dead Things Lie this is a continuation of the characters from that story. This is the most gory depraved story that will leave you with the feeling of what did I just read vibes. So if you want extremely taboo, dark, violent, and depraved this is the one to grab. The author brings a wildly intense story that will leave you questioning everything you just read.

If you want a taste of taboo grab this anthology it's got a good mix of spice, depravity, taboo, and twisted moments. So for those who like to read out of the box this one is for you.

Good lord gravy, way to start off the anthology with a bang. Damn I’m hooked and I need more asap! Their book is going to be FIRE 🔥 The tension, the spice, the unaliving…ok I can’t wait for the next time we see these boys.

Bound by Blood, CJ Riggs-
This is my first sampling of anything by CJ Riggs and holy cannoli, I’m a fan for life. Reading this lil snippet of a story had me hunting down her socials and preordering whatever books I could. These four are so spicy and angry…gosh I love the tension. I can’t wait to see how that cliffhanger works out. 👀

He’s Mine, Roedan Wells-
Oop that was freaking great! Don’t mind me over here going to smashwords to buy another book by this author. Good job Blue boy! Just what I love in a taboo romance, a slightly unhinged Mc and the other Mc they’re obsessed with being unsuspecting but also justifying their actions. LOVE IT!

Scars on our heart, EL Rose-
Oh my goodness I’m not crying you’re crying. That cliffhanger was really a great way to end that book. Imma need more of these three asap please and thank you. These poor mcs…just such a rough life but I am here for the healing that is happening! I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Cream filled, Khione King-
This is a new to me author but I genuinely enjoyed the writing. I wish I knew what the other pen names were for this author, so if anyone knows, hit me up. Very well done! I would love to see more of this world and this characters.

His bloody survivor, RE Johnson-
Ooooooo this was so messed up & I am here for it! Totally gave me ghost d¡ck by kk vibes and that was one of my favorite books from last year. Excuse me while I got buy anything I can get my hands on from this author.

Forbidden obsession, Winter Brier-
Dang that story was so hot and full of drama! Who doesn’t love a good mafia romance?!? I immediately went out and bought Octavia’s book because imma need more of this world asap. I can’t wait to see what the author does with this interconnected world next.

Darkest Pain, Bailey Grayson-
The scream that I scrumpt at the end of the story had people coming to check on me from the other side of my house. I am a severely obsessed! Of course I love the characters because what’s not to love about the characters… Who doesn’t love a psychopath stalker?!? That is like my favorite part of dark Romance… and the violence? Yes ma’am! Give me more! I absolutely was not expecting that plot twist, but I’m absolutely gonna go by the first book in the series right now!

My heart just broke over and over again for Bryn, that poor guy just had such a rough go of things for awhile. I adore Vik so much & lord almighty I was clutching my pearls in the best way during one particular scene…oop 🥵

Exalted miscreants, Violet Knight-

No no no! You can’t stop the story there! I need more of it. I love me an omegaverse story and this one had me hooked from the first chapter. I’m going to be waiting on pins and needles waiting for the full version.

Unexpected, Lily Black-
100% smut and I am here for it!!!! Tell me we get a HEA for these two later?!? PLEASE!!!

Rapture & sins, Demi Wilde-
So that was some crazy stuff. Damn.. I’m speechless, I absolutely want more of these three and I need them to get the HEA they deserve after some much deserved revenge. What’s their book going to be called and when is it coming out?

Alley cat, Jennifer DeSantis-
What a plot twist, obviously the TW tell you what’s gonna happen but goodness that would be one hell of a plot twist irl. My heart hurt for both mcs but that the HEA was great.

Our little secret, ER Hendricks-
Oh 👏 My 👏 God 👏 What a way to end the book! I read Coraline’s story just a few days ago and I was wondering if there was going to be a part 2. ER, you out did yourself with this story. I CANNOT wait to see what happens with Sariel. Oof when does that story come out?!?

Kinsley Kincaid - Brothers Bond - okay I NEEEED this full story because I mean how you gonna leave me hanging like this? It was jam packed and I need all the freaking answers! Ahhh

CJ Riggs - Bound by Blood - woah woah woah. This was intense and dare I say...hotttt 🥵 but lawd help me, I NEED more. Like right this second. PS thank goodness for smexy time 🫣

Roedan Wells - He's Mine - man what a jealous brother! But I love how he knew from the start, "he's mine!" And did not quit pushing that! These two were so sweet and I loved them so much!

E.l. Rose - Scars On Our Heart - this one is jam packed with so much trauma. Trauma that causes a trauma bond that is unbreakable. These two have been through hell and back and boy is it rough. I'm glad they found each other again!

Khione King- Cream Filled - what a sweet story! Twins falling for their sister. I mean can't get sweeter than that 😘

RE Johnson - His Bloody Survivor - a sweet little dead half brother and sister love story. And I mean who doesn't love the thought of a dead peen fking you? 🫣

Winter Brier - Forbidden Obsession - ughhh I loved this one a lot! Thie twin relationship is unstoppable and their love is stronger than ever! I hope to definitely read more of these two in the future!

Bailey Grayson - Darkest Pain - well this one was a great read! Twins...brothers...woah! Intense!!!! And what about that little twist at the end?! **mind blown!**

Sullyn Shaw - His Touch is Despair: The Past's End - what a sweet little number about an uncle and nephew! I would have loved to keep reading more of these two!! They were so sweet together.

Violet Knight - Exalted Miscreants - oh my gosh. This ended far too quickly for my liking! I have sooo many questions and need to know what goes on! Ahhhh!!!

Lily Black - Unexpected - uncle and niece?! 🫠 this one was hot! And then it got even hotter. Like I'm pretty sure I have no more words than that....

Demi Wilde - Rapture & Sin Blood Ties - ohhh my freaking goodness ma'am. How the heck are you going to leave me hanging like that? I have so many questions without answers and I need to know them all!!!!!!

Jennifer DeSantis - Alley Cat - okay I devoured this one! I loved it so much. Everything about it was so real and raw and captivating. I absolutely need more of them!!!

E.R. Hendricks - Our Little Secret - Wow. Well this one was a WILD FREAKING ride. Dark. Messed up. But incredible! But I definitely wanted more hahaha. I need to know what happens next!

Tangled in Taboo Anthology
This is a phenomenally well put together Taboo Anthology featuring the depraved dark minds of some if not all of our favourite authors who love to write about taboo romance. There’s a couple authors who stood out to me but I think each story was uniquely done and I would love to read full length novels on them.

Brothers Bond – Kinsley Kincaid
Holy shit what a tease, Kins has a way with words that draw her readers in and this short little snippet is no different. CJ jumped right in from the beginning with this little smut feast and I’m far from disappointed. When Colton and Jake find themselves in a motel with a woman who they assume is their fathers fling their shocked to find out they had their way with their deprived half-sister they never knew about. When the boys are out to play and Aspen needs relief, she turns to daddy to help her out. Brothers, father and a half sister. yup definitely taboo and I’m wanting all of it.

He's Mine – Roedan Wells
This is the first I’ve read anything by Wells and I’m definitely not disappointed and will be looking into other reads by them. This was a super quick twincest smutfest and I would love to read a full length novel on Atlas and Ethan.

Cream Filled - Khione King
First Read by King and I’m hooked. The short little twincest taboo love story was something for the books and I’m left wanting more. King did a wonderful job portraying this short piece with tons of smut and lots of love for their little sister. I’ll definitely be looking into more of her work in the near future.

Forbidden Obsession – Winter Brier
I absolutely loved this short little novella sneak peak. I was overly excited to read more about Octavia and her brothers Dorian and Bastian and how their connected. I absolutely love everything about forbidden taboo loves and Winter goes hard on her stories of them. I was instantly drawn into Ambrose and Lilly’s story that I can’t wait to read more of them.

My two favorites were Brothers Bond by Kinsley Kincaid & Bound by Blood by CJ Riggs. Both stories ended with a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read more!

This is a very spicy read with a mix of so many things, It will make you feel things pull at your heart and leave you panting and wanting more. Every story is different from the next other than the fact they are all full of forbidden spice

For those who love dark, twisted taboo, this book will be a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ read with over the top 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️! The anthology of stories include some that are short and to the point. Some of the stories will also leave you with the urge to add all of the authors book to your TBR pile.

Tangled in Taboo is a plethora of novella's that are just unhinged and of course taboo. While I loved this anthology, and they were edgy and spicy. I absolutely lost myself in these reads. I felt like they were fun, different and it was not anything I had read before all-in-one book. I laughed, cringed and felt a sense of "YAY" for the characters as they were only wanting what came natural to them. You can't help who you love. I would absolutely love to see more of some of these novella's and I have been introduced to some independent authors I have never heard of, but will be looking for future reads from them.

A lot of these authors are authors I had read before, but I also discovered authors new to me like Sullyn Shaw and RE Johnson. I cannot wait to read more of their work!

Check your TWs before reading these stories, but after that enjoy them for all your spicy, delectable taboo desires.

I love reading anthologies. There are always new author gems to be found in them. I bought this book because of Kinsley Kincaid. Her story is, as expected, very dark and spicy. However, the other authors also sparked my imagination extremely well and I hope to see full novellas from their contributions in this anthology. Highly recommended if you're looking for good authors in this genre!

This anthology is an amazing mix of taboo short stories, with different themes and exciting new characters to fall in love with. My favorite story was Darkest Pain by Bailey Grayson. It is a dark and steamy story about twins Byron and Bishop, with a very taboo relationship. It is dark and twisted in the best ways. It sets you on the edge of your seat, and I am eager for more. I can't wait to read the rest of the book!! This anthology is taboo, dark, twisted and spicy, everything I love in a book!
