This is the tenth and last part of the simplified version of the Urdu fantasy epic,Dastan e Amir Hamza. While it was an interesting, and fun adventure to begin with,it grew increasingly repetitive,as the series progressed. Too much war,too many identical stories, convenient coincidences, and too much magic and elements of the supernatural. At the very end, there was a big surprise, however. While it was still fun to read, the series did not really meet my expectations, given its status,as a classic of Urdu literature.
C. S. Lewis said, "One day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again." I read these books as a boy when I was in school. And reading them again at 53 transported me back in time.
