I'm so happy Volume Two has finally made it into my hands! Joshua and Cassie's story is so perfect. Watching them both discover more about the BDSM lifestyle, so that they can have a better relationship is amazing. And I love the cameo with Nixon and Poppy! I cannot wait for Volume Three with this little cliffhanger Lizzie left us on.

5 It was everything I wanted from the sequel! I LOVED IT SO MUCH! The parts with the cameos from other characters in Lizzie's world felt like an Avengers: End Game assemble moment, and it was so exciting for me! The actual relationship between The Professor and Cassie progressed in such a neat way.

Such a good book! Obedience Volume One was the first book I read from this author, and my is her characters and story so good! I need to read Volume 3, and see more of Cassie and Joshua!!

A Dip in Momentum, but Still Curious for what’s next!

After enjoying the first book, I had high hopes for Obedience, but this one didn’t fully land for me. The characters were harder to connect with this time around, largely due to the immature nature of their relationship. The main female character, who felt stronger and more compelling in book one, came off as whiny here, which made it difficult to stay engaged.

Several new characters were introduced, but they felt oddly out of place and didn’t blend well with the overall tone or flow of the story. Despite these issues, I’m still looking forward to volume three—I’m curious to see how the relationship develops and if the story regains the depth and momentum of the first installment.

This picks up right where Vol 1 left off, and honestly, it felt like watching a sitcom. The generational differences between these two were so clear, which makes sense with that 19-year age gap. I was also surprised (in a good way!) to see Nixon and Poppy make a cameo. Compared to book 1, the spice was… well, pretty fluffy. It’s a fast-paced novella you can finish in about an hour, but of course, we end on another cliffhanger 𝘤𝘶𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘉𝘎𝘔 . Part of Vol 3 is already up on Patreon, so at least there’s that!
