Being young, strong, and immortal isn’t all it’s cracked up to be when your every move is tracked and sabotaged by an evil genius who holds all the cards.
When one of their own, Griffin, is seemingly obliterated in a fiery explosion, high school seniors Joss, Hunt, Layla, and Brady are suddenly desperate to find out exactly how immortal they really are. For Joss, living without Griffin—whom she’s always loved—isn’t an option. But while she and her friends have learned they possess powers other than the ability to regenerate, they don’t yet know what they are. And they’ve already put a lot of rough miles on their bodies . . .
What Joss does know is that she’ll risk everything to have gorgeous Griffin back at her side, even if it means taking down the malevolent Magnum Chase. He’s kept them hostage at his tightly guarded institute for far too long, leaving them at the mercy of the “families,” who’ve been making attempts on their lives at every turn. Enough is enough, as far as Joss is concerned. With Griffin back in the fold, this little band of rebels is ready to gun their engines and burn some rubber all the way out of town.
Using the psychic link that allows them to communicate safely and silently, the five friends share information and celebrate every small victory as they prepare for the most important fight of the one that will expose Magnum’s secret plans, destroying him and all the others who’ve tried to take them out. But there’s no telling what they’ll find on the other side of “Ridgemore” once they escape. And the truth, it turns out, may actually be stranger than fiction . . .
Stranger Things meets Riverdale in the third installment of this bold, brutal series, in which a group of longtime friends must slice through a complex web of evil to get to the truth that will finally set them free.

Lucía Ashta is the internationally top 20 bestselling author of young adult, new adult, and adult paranormal and urban fantasy books, including the series Magical Creatures Academy, Witches of Gales Haven, Smoky Mountain Pack, and Supernatural Bounty Hunter.
When Lucía isn't writing, she's reading, painting, or adventuring. Magical fantasy is her favorite, but the action, romance, and quirky characters are what keep her hooked on books.
I read this book as an ARC for one of my favorite authors - Lucia Ashta. I have read most of her books now as I speed through her back catalog after loving her quirky Midlife Women’s Fiction series about the Gawama family.
That said - this series has been so much fun, the cliffhangers were over the top ( yet expected) and the writing was fast paced, quirky and so much fun. This is book 3 of 3. It wraps up our story and ties this series to many of her other worlds! I wish we could go on the road trip to watch all the introductions happen!
WARNING: This book went off the rails! Where the first two were fun and quirky this book went past sexy to OMG what did I just read?!?! If you are not into some way out there reading maybe just skip chapter 9. You will be fine! Just finish 8 and scroll to 10….or be prepared to read alone and defiantly defiantly listen with headphones- thank me later.
I love this series but everything I want to say would be a spoiler. There are so many twists and turns in the finale. It was definitely a page turner that kept me guessing the whole book. The evolution of this series from fun loving kids to hidden powers fighting the worst villain was incredible.
I def need a TV show based on this unique series! ❤️🔥
WTH I just read! 🤯 I love when a plot surprises me, I didn't see several things coming and I loved that, kept me at the edge of my seat, jaw-dropped! 😳😲 This series is really different, good different, and I can totally imagine a TV show based on it! 😍 Oh, and I loved how it was connected to other of Lucía's series, that was an amazing surprise! 🤗❤️
Warning this book has a pretty graphic scene in it. And if you are buying it for a teenager I highly recommend you read it for yourself first! If you've read my reviews before you know I always read any book before letting a child read it. As a parent I take great responsibility for what I allowed my kids to read & at what age. Even when it comes to my niece & nephews. Now that they're grown I still like to read stuff in the YA & NA genre. I also like to help parents out with my advice. That being said here's the review: This was a much anticipated book for me. It seemed like this one took forever to publish. And I started reading it as soon as I got my hands on it. However, I was not happy with the scene in Magnums mansion. Trust me when you get to it you'll know what I mean. It was way to graphic. I understand what the author was trying to say symbolically. I just think there would've been better ways to say it. And yes as the story moves along & you learn what Magnum is it makes it a little easier to handle but I don't want to ruin it for you. I will say this was my favorite series of this authors. And I was ready to buy special editions & the whole nine yards but this book has me holding back from that now. Don't get me wrong I love sci-fi, it's just the gross scene they walk in on that I have a problem with. I still love the main characters & always will. I will say this tale gets wilder as you read. So many twists & turns that you won't see coming. I do love how Lucia was able to flawlessly tie it into so many other worlds she had created. That I did not see coming. And Layla, Hunt, & Brady all got mates. That was a great ending. And not someone that Magnum scripted for them to be with. Oh, wait until you find out that Uncle Magnum wants them to all get knocked up or knock someone else up. That blew me away! That and what happened to Joss when she decided to dreamwalk. That was so wrong! Dude got what he deserved! If you've never watched the Truman Show before reading this you really should. I think it will really help you understand this book even more. If I hadn't seen most of it that was used in a presentation I never would've understood the extent of the deception.
This is book three of the Ridgemore series. For some reason, Goodreads cidn't bundle them together with a series page, so the trilogy reading order is: Ride and Die, Ride and Die Again, and Live and Let Ride.
Part of me thinks that this series is too over-the-top for five stars, but that part of me can stfu, because I love this series unapologetically. It's pure insanity, has great banter, and plot twists that you will actually never see coming. The kind of twists that would have M. Knight Shaymasomething high-fiving the author.
The cliffhanger ending in book two had me biting my nails, but Live and Let Ride was a great conclusion to an already addicting series. The insanity ramps up even more, the stakes are higher, and there's one scene that I will probably never unsee (I wish I could).
This is YA, so don't expect a ton of maturity or adult behavior, but the five core characters are the definition of "Ride or Die". There's nothing they wouldn't do for each other. Do they come across as bratty and untitled? Pretty much, but it stopped bothering me the more I came to see that they've earned that right. Is the FMC a Mary Sue? Definitely. But trust me when I say that in this scenario, she couldn't be anything else.
Special mention to Bobo the pitbull, who is a very Good Boy and deserves all the treats and rides!
If you're looking for fun, fast-paced, plot-driven, mindfuck of a storyline, I definitely recommend this series.
An Epic Ending to an Unputdownable Fantasy Series Five young immortals going up against a power-hungry mastermind—what are the odds they’ll survive long enough to win? They may regenerate, but how many deaths can someone endure before the universe says “enough”? You can’t help hoping the answer is never. This finale blends science fiction and fantasy in a way that keeps you glued to the pages. The twists are constant, the stakes are sky-high, and the emotional payoff is worth every tense moment. There are shocks, surprises, and a conclusion that left me breathless. You absolutely need to start this series from book one—this is not a standalone—but if you love action, adventure, found family, sci-fi mystery, and full-on steamy romance, this final installment delivers it all. It ties together threads not just from this trilogy but from the author’s wider universe, making the ending feel truly epic. I had so much more I wanted to say, but the words just wouldn’t line up. All I can add is this: my review can’t do the finale justice. It’s the kind of ending you feel.
I’ve fallen in love with these characters. Five best friends and their dog. The discovery that they are not normal seniors in a small town. So much going on here. The story has an awesome flow, and so many twists and turns. Paranormal or science fiction? Were they created? Are they blessed somehow by gods? I’m in love with this story line. Nothing is as it seems.….. (from my last review of book 2)
Oh my Goodness! The end of book 2 had me in tears- this last book is also such a unique page-turner. I did not see any of this action happening. I suspected the kids had unique gifts from somewhere…. This third book was amazing! I laughed so hard in chapter 9. Oh my goodness the bad guys do get everything that’s coming to them is all I will say. This is Lucia Ashta’s spiciest book, and I say bring it on! Thank you for unexpected stories! Thank you!
The first two books were YA, this one... Well, how young is the adult?? I've waited for this book for a while, so much that I had to reread the last one to get up to speed. If I had to choose 1 word to express my feelings about this last installment in the series, it would be "whiplash". I found myself, quite literally, saying "wtf" more times than I could count. It was quite a satisfying ending to this series and by now, I think everyone knows I was gunning for justice!
I loved this book but it made me so sad. There was a point where I said it was going in timeout. The emotions I had where all over the place. This is the last book in the series. Where the other two was fun and a little emotional. This book was over the top. The friends find themselves in a whole new game. They didn't know they was a part of. I couldn't put it done. This book had some graphic stuff so be prepared.
DNF Blindsiding your readers with rape, followed by a separate second rape (revoked consent), all while downplaying the first (“just the tip”) and laughing off the second (“ticket to pound town”) is seriously messed up. Please list the TWs/CWs somewhere and let your readers make informed decisions.
This has been an intriguing story and one hell of a ride and this final book is one hell of an ending. Brimming with twists and turns, you find yourself drawn in as our five young immortals going up against the bad guy. There’s secrets, there’s suspense and there’s plenty of action as we make our way to this epic conclusion.
Live and Let Ride is such a good book—fun, fast, and honestly so easy to get lost in. The writing feels smooth and addictive, and the characters have this energy that makes you want to keep reading just to stay with them. It has that perfect mix of emotion and excitement without ever feeling heavy. I loved how engaging and vibrant the whole story felt
This book is intense from page one onward. There are some potential triggers for some, but the bad guys gets justice. This whole series ends on a high note but we had to go through some dark places. 10/10 recommend this whole series.

This was a series filled with people of dubious morals, participating in questionable science... For centuries scientists have grappled with the morality of certain decisions, not only can we do any number of things, but should we? This story takes science, ties it up, throws it in the back of one of the main characters re-constructed Mustangs, then takes off down the highway in a cloud of dust and dreams.
I didn't think that Ms. Ashta could surprise me.... I was absolutely wrong.
