Hip young up-and-coming executive Mariah Olsen has mastered separating work ambitions from personal desires in her climb up the cut-throat corporate ladder. The one thing she didn't count on was getting caught mixing the two when daydreaming in a board meeting with visiting executive Clark Mannings. Self-made billionaire Clark Mannings has had his eyes set on Mariah ever since she transformed the flailing FoodCom into the mega-earning Heartisan Foods. When he confronts her, tempers flare and handcuffs appear. Purr Scent I: The Meeting is a 12,000-word Purr Billionaire M/F/F (MFF or Male-female-female) BDSM Erotic Romance written by Purr Erotica Romance author Jacintha Topaz. This sexy delicious read has spanking, whipping, and dubious consent between two adults, male and female. The female will meet the other female in Part II: The Makeover. For mature readers 18 years and older only.
Ms Topaz is an author devoted to, (an excerpt from her own blurb) ‘…F/F, M/M, LGBT, Menage and More BDSM, kink, bondage, fetish, spanking, domination, submission, hot, sexy, erotic romance reads…’
This is a short work of fiction—39 pages. It covers the first sexual encounter between Mariah and Clark which takes place in Mariah’s office. The story is easily understood and told in a simple manner. We discover little of Mariah’s backstory and none of Clark’s.
Putting my disinterest in this genre aside, I can only review this work on its literary merit. There are many errors in this novel, and too many adjectives.
As for command of language, the use of words such as ginormous and smushed, as well as the following piece of dialogue: ‘Bazillions of dollars, mouth-watering jolly good looks and mad skills in the sack.’ left me cold.
Ms Topaz can tell a story, but I think a bit more attention to detail would enhance her work.
Purr Scent I: The Meeting is a 12,000-word Purr Billionaire BDSM M/F/F (MFF or Male-female-female) Menage Erotic Romance
**scratches head. Did I miss something? The action in this story was between one man and one woman. Never did another female enter the mix, unless I had a brain fart. This story is NOT Menage.
Most of the sex skirted the lines of consent, and little of it was safe sane or consensual. Location 384 - her hands....What hands? They felt numb, the handcuffs having cut off their circulation.
I recommend reading this story as pure fantasy, and not to expect any three-way action. The plot was interesting enough, hence my three star rating.

I love erotic fiction, really I do, although rarely do I find much of it very erotic. So I was pleased when I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It’s described as M/F/F menage erotica with BDSM, and the book is part one of the "Purr Billionaire Series." No, it’s not the story of rich felines, but one of love and bondage among the rich. The story’s a quick read and it held my attention throughout, although in my opinion it could have benefited from a bit more time at the editing table.
Here's the plot: two CEOs want to do business together in more ways than one. The male half of the pair schedules an appointment after lunch and before the female CEO's three o'clock appointment. He has a pair of handcuffs with him. I think you can see where this is going, right?
Oh, the story also contains the following sentence: "his *** swelled to ginormous proportions."
I don't know, it’s hard to take a book too seriously that uses the make-believe word "ginormous" in such a manner. There were other word choices that I found a little off-putting, and they did take me out of the world being created, too. Also, the story contained several chapter break errors and a mad mix of smart versus dumb quotes.
Finally—although let’s be real, one does not read these for the soundness of the plot—I did find the structure upon which this story was based to be a little shaky. Here's what we know about the female CEO: "Ever since she splashed into the food science industry as the newest and youngest CEO voted in by her board, he had been following her career. Not only was she the youngest CEO in her company at the time, she was also the youngest in the science industry. Didn't have her degree in marketing or business either--just English."
Excuse me, how is this possible? Not only is she impossibly young, but she hasn't majored in anything that would even remotely land her a CEO gig in such a short period of time. Nothing in science, or agriculture, or business, or marketing. No comparable work experience that we know of. So, how in the world did that talent search go? No wonder Monsanto is having so many problems.
That said, I read the entire book in one sitting, and I was entertained throughout. I think the author just needs to invest a bit more time in judiciously editing her story, to make sure the word choice is solid and the facts we are presented with make logical sense: for example, where does the male CEO produce all the items he uses during the story, including the handcuffs? Or, would the female protagonist really be able to do all she did while cuffed? Some additional time spent honing in on the fine details would really give this kitty a bit more bite.
Sassy, smart and totally frigid Mariah Olsen gets locked up in her office after standing toe to toe with a dominant visiting executive Clark Mannings. Okay, she's not all frigid--it just seems so, because it looks like she's foregone intercourse and relationships in her pursuit up the corporate ladder at an ambitiously young age. Rung for rung, that ladder is shaken and falls apart under the twitchy palms of the alpha bad boy executive who has had his eyes set on her for two years now.
The Meeting, the first of a five-part novel, chronicles that meeting when their two worlds collide in a very intimate way. The erotic scenes were hot off the charts. Although short, the story was long enough for the characters to jump off the page as well. My, that Clark is a formidable man! I sure don't want to meet him in real life! Too intimidating! However, although her consent was indeed dubious, Mariah sure stood her ground and I found myself wanting to read more about her in part two and meet the "other woman," since this menage tale is about two women and a man. By the end of this kinky story, I was itching to read the second book. I definitely recommend this kinky office read! Five stars!
Clark: self-made billionaire in town to negotiate a pivotal contract
Mariah: youngest CEO voted in by the board of a flailing company she helped turn around and make hip
Although the two have met a few times per year in the past two years, the meeting that they have today is the first one that Mariah leaves him hanging with no contract signed and takes a lunch break. Used to getting what he wants, Clark formulates a plan over lunch to literally get Mariah off her feet. Warning: Clark is an intense dominant man and consent is definitely dubious.
The chemistry between them was hot and heart-warming, and I found the book almost too short!!! I had just warmed up to the characters and now I definitely want to read the second book and get MORE!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The book blurb states this is an M/F/F menage erotica with BDSM. Whilst the planned books in the series may head this way, this first book doesnt. The BDSM involves two people, not three. The story contains dubious consent and submissive/aggressive sex.
First of all, the character development was poorly done, and I couldn't relate to either of the main characters. The editing appears non-existent, and the proofreading poor. The language used is childish in many places: see the opening line ... "Sitting across the boardroom in utter perfection was Dream God." It doesn't improve.
The author has a vivid imagination, and with some polishing on the presentation, her prose could be improved tenfold.
Wow, just wow! This one kept me up reading till the wee hours. The first part of a planned five-part series, this short read features only a man and a woman. The heroine didn't stand a chance against this scheming billionaire Dominant! Equipped with handcuffs and several creative restraints fashioned by her own stripped attire during work hours, he steams up her office windows quite quickly! If you like your men confident in their sexuality, no excuses spared (with a little dubious consent sprinkled in), then Clark is one hot rod to meet! Yes, he can be a bit strong, but the little lady is feisty as well and I loved seeing the sparks fly between them. Already wanting to read the second part in the series, when the females meet!
Topaz's characters are hilarious! First, you've got the uptight female executive who only dates her vibrator. Then, you've also got the dominant man who has had his eyes set on taking her for two years now; he's been planning to gradually move his HQ to her vicinity in a fiscally sound contract waiting to be signed. Of course, all that goes out the window when he seizes a loophole -- when he catches her off her game. So what do you get when she gets tied up in her own office by this man? The result is an explosive meeting that goes beyond lust. You'll get exactly what the author said you'd get--dubious consent, whipping, spanking, and other kinky stuff. I can't wait to see what happens next in the second book!
OMG - *loved* this hot steamy cornered-in-your-own-office scene with handcuffs, whipping, gag and blindfold. OK, so it's a bit non-consensual, since the ultra independent female doesn't want to openly admit she needs it but her body sure gives off the smell of aroused woman. So of course the alpha man meets her basic needs and delivers an unforgettable tease. Some of the best erotica I've read and definitely looking forward to Part Two!
For such a short story there were a lot of typos. I get that it was free but so was every English paper I ever turned in and I would have been given a horrible grade for this many typos, spelling errors, and punctuation errors.
Sure the sex was steamy but that's just sex. The rest of the story is too close to rape for my liking, not to mention the many signs that point to an abusive relationship in the making. Look up a list of the top 10 signs of abusive relationships and this story will fit at least half of them. At one point the female lead states she didn't consent to sex and the male mocks her saying it'll be her word against his in court and he has more money so he'll win.
I get that people want to read to enjoy themselves and short stories like this are often read just for the steamy part of the story and not the overall story, but this is such a bad way to show a hot steamy quicky. It justifies not seeking consent, it justifies creepy stalking, it justifies other signs of abuse.
I wish books like this came with a warning not only for people who don't want to read stories about romanticized abusive relationships like myself but as this is in the gray are of rape it should have a trigger warning listed too.
I'm not sure if the intention of the author is to make it funny or witty, but some of the words she chose to describe sex scenes were quite hyperbolic, as though she really wanted to drive home the point that something was big or very beautiful. This is a story of sexual power play between two CEOs, so I guess there's a need for exaggerations and the fact that it is erotica warrants that sentences should be sizzling and fiery. I've read other erotica novels and this one holds a promise to be better. One thing that held my disbelief initially was the description of Mr. Mannings as Dream God right in the first paragraph of Chapter One. Without any introduction or a way of showing the character, it's hard to believe that he is a Dream God right away. The novel can border on the campy, especially when making up words to describe certain appendages or certain actions, so I guess the author can move forward to that direction, let it be as campy in the funniest of ways. For now, this first book is a little bit uncertain of what it wants to be.
Okay, I admit. I love reading about alpha males between the covers. Rarely would I ever want to meet one in real life. However, I've found an exception. I want to meet Clark Mannings!
Who is Clark Mannings? Well, he's a self-made billionaire who has had his eyes set on a certain lady CEO for two years now. He's gone to lengths, such as watching her appearances on screen and dissecting them on slow-mo to learn her, read her, vigilantly push her -- like a real Dom should anyway.
So of course, when they meet in person and Clark's fed up about the way Mariah bides time for their negotiations and therefore puts a wrench in his plans to expand into her territory, guess what happens?
That's what Purr Scent 1: The Meeting is about. I can hardly wait to read book 2! Getting my one-click button on for the rest of the series!!!
I likes it, it wasn't a waste of time but it wasn't the most amazing book I've ever read. It was more of a quick and fun read. If you jut want to read something with not to much intensity or take a break from anything that's t much. This was a good book to past the time.
Interesting start to this series. I think I will like the male character with time. The female character will have to prove that she is not just a scatterbrained woman.
