This book was so beautiful. It talks about the life of Pat Fahrenfort a South African native and her trials and tribulations through life. It also talks about the happy moments as well which flood through as small little snippets in a much bigger story. It talks about sexism and racism and segregation during the Apartheid movement in South Africa and how she overcame everything she was faced with. Such a beautiful story.

I really enjoyed this very South African story. It is told with humanity, humility and a bit of mischievous humour. One warms to the author and feels grateful for her contribution.
