“All or Nothing” is the Seekers' life motto, and they intend to face their final battle guided by the very same principle. Everybody's fates have become woven together in a single point in space and time—the Seekers', the cultists', the demons', and the Taoists' alike.

The upcoming battle has the very existence of two worlds at stake, and only Zander and Vyllea can decide what happens next. After all, they embody the Heavens' will.

They simply have no right to err.

Vasily Mahanenko is a fantasy author working in the new genre of LitRPG - the MMO-based fantasy and sci fi. His Way of the Shaman series took Russian literature by storm in 2012.

Vasily dipped into his college-days insider knowledge as a hardcore gamer in order to create a believable world of the virtual-reality MMO game. His bestselling series combines fiction and video games, telling the story of Shaman and his friends stuck in the ruthless reality of Barliona. He used his more than ten years' experience as an ERP implementation project manager to approach his writing in a well-organized manner, working to a strict schedule, a set of deadlines and even a budget. At the moment, the series boasts six novels with the seventh one in the works - this time the author expands on stories of Shaman's companions and those who helped and supported him in his trials and tribulations.

The first book of the series has already been translated into English, with more translations to follow, aiming to make the Way of the Shaman series available to the English-language reader in its entirety.

Vasily's other passion is space exploration which is why he now works on a follow-up series entitled Galaktiona. Set in a space-simulator based world, the first book of the series in already finished while Vasily works on its sequel.

The Queen

This is the fourteenth and final book in the Wuxia Progression series. Did this one feel rushed? Yes! With what happened in this one we could have seen another 2-3 books. Wad it all wrapped up? Also, yes. Overall the series was a good read, but not great. My feelings might reflect that because the Taoist progression is less familiar to me and so even with the familiar nodes, meridians, and cores the overall felt more Shogun, where, although great, I am not in the direct target audience. Juxtapose Way of the Shaman that brought me into reading this genre. If you love Asian culture this is a strong read, apart from that and the Thundar the Barbarian feel, it really was a fine series.

The Law of the Jungle series by Vasily Mahanenko proved to be a gripping blend of wuxia-inspired progression fantasy and survival-driven adventure. It takes the familiar “might makes right” premise and builds it into a richly layered world where Qi cultivation, territorial dominance, and personal ambition all collide.
From the very first book, the stakes are clear: in this world, strength isn’t just an advantage, it’s the only currency that truly matters. Mr. Mahanenko crafts a setting divided into zones, each brimming with danger, opportunity, and the constant threat of betrayal. The pacing is brisk, with battles and breakthroughs coming in satisfying waves, yet there’s enough breathing room for character growth and moral dilemmas to take root.
If you enjoy fast-paced progression fantasy with a martial arts flair, morally complex characters, and a world where every victory comes at a cost, you will definitely want to add the ‘Law of the Jungle’ series to your TBR, it is well worth diving into.
Happy Reading…

Fantastic Ending

Started this series a few days after book 1 released, and good God have I not been able to put it down since. So many progression fantasy/wuxia books have the protagonist make tough decisions with moral.compromises, but there's just something super refreshing about a tale where the MC struggles not because of the lack of availability of power, but because they insist on always doing what is right.

Honestly, I am mostly ticked off that this series is over, cause while I am reading everything else Mahenenko is writing this was by far my favorite. My only hope now is that this becomes published on paper soon, because this 100% deserves some space on my shelf permanently.

excellence in every book

Writing a 14 book series that doesn’t begin to waiver in its great story telling, excitement, character development, adventure, and the story itself, is beyond rare, it’s almost nonexistent. But Vasily did it.

now this is the way to end a series!

I absolutely loved it! We got answers to some questions, some things still need to be uncovered but overall we ended the series on a high note with just enough room to spin the block at a later date if need be

After all that Darna, Delilah and Dokravit got to live. I can understand Darna being spared but Dokravit and Delilah, come on.
Nevertheless I still enjoyed though it still feels rushed at the end.
