so bad
This is a story where a woman - gets a job as an assistant to the billionaire - of course - and he needs her after like a month and his ex wife becomes a nuisance to pretend to be his wife. Well they’re really married … anyways.
The ex blows up their spot and now the office is talking about her sleeping her way to her job … WHO WOULD SLEEP WITH A MAN TO BE AN EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT AND THEN BECOME HIS WIFE!!! The narrative doesn’t even make sense. … she isn’t like a VP… she’s his EA!!!! So like .., WHAT …. ALSO THESE PEOPLE DONT KNOW ITS FAKE ARE YOU NOT AFRAID OF LOSING YOUR Job
“Fine, but you’d better make sure your PR team is on it because I’m not spending the rest of my life being known as the woman who climbed the corporate ladder via wedding vows.”

Do you know how EASY it would actually be to NOT get caught in a marriage of convenience lie???? YOU TAKE THAT SHIT TO THE GRAVE AND NO ONE KNOWS ITS FAKE!!! Why are we always telling so many people and telling them to keep a secret… did no one listen to the pretty little liars theme song
She’s supposed to end up pregnant (which isn’t hard, they keep having sex though they say they shouldn’t but they’re not using protection) AND IT HASNT HAPPENED YET.. it’s 54%! if you’re putting surprise baby in the headline / description- I want a good amount of KNOWN pregnancy In the book … if not then it’s SECRET not surprise
She realizes at 64% and surprise surprise doesn’t say anything right away
To be honest, after 54% I started skimming through. There’s nothing wrong with the story and the banter is there it was just boring. They’re fighting their attraction. They’re saying things that are dumb in consideration of the story being told and the tropes happening. I wanted to get the show on the road.
“Sophie, is eight divided by four the same as four divided by eight?”“Yes, sweetheart, but in reverse.” NO ITS NOT THE SAME, what do you even mean in reverse?
You can’t even be mad when the actor is so dumb they play into the villain’s hand … like Sophie should’ve told Axel immediately she certainly shouldn’t have let Ashley know FIRST!! and for a character that’s “smart” that’s real dumb. The way this plays out is dumb. You don’t want Ashley to tell Axel before you can… SO Don’t LET HER D*MB@$S… call him on the phone and tell him NOW!!! … this kind of mess takes a three star book to two stars REAL QUICK
80%?! What are we even talking about?! Losing another star I fear…. Because WHY IS ANYONE SHOCKED?! Sophie knew Ashley was going to Axel…. Why is she shocked he’s asking?! HOW DID SHE SEE THIS PLAYING OUT?! Why is Axel saying he’s heartbroken?! THEY SAID ON THEIR FAKE HONEYMOON THEY WERE FALLING FOR EACH OTHER!!! Why are they acting like this matters?!
Time has to be moving fast, but there’s no explanation for it. She just found out and returned from the honeymoon for him to act like she knew for months… was that not just a week? She leaves him … and they’re acting like so much time has happened that she almost has a completed nursery, but didn’t she JUST LEAVE?! How does the passage of time work during this???
This would’ve been the perfect “argument” to be solved during the disagreement but no, they had to have a long drawn out break up … WHICH MAKES NO SENSE THEY ARE STILL MARRIED and HE IS STILL THE FATHER OF HER BABY!!!
It takes a near death experience at 88% for him to get over himself… I cannot make it up.
“I’m lost without you. Violet misses you. She needs you. I need you. And I know I don’t deserve another chance, but I’m asking for one anyway. Please, Sophie.”
Is this the dumbest book I’ve ever read? Maybe not. But it might just be the dumbest book I read February 2025.
We’re proposing … and suddenly they’re getting married, a wedding that was planned and thankfully someone throws out that she’s 7 months pregnant or we might think it was the following week. What is going on in this book??
“The bridesmaids stand beside her, all perfectly poised, waiting for Sophie.” Suddenly she has friends who aren’t Juliet?! We even met Axel’s friends… and he’s absolutely the type to only know Robert…
“Secret pregnancy” but it’s secret to her too, and it’s going to be THE BIGGEST PROBLEM… it doesn’t make any sense. It started ok and just went downhill immediately. Which is surprising cause I didn’t hate Book 2 of the series and I certainly won’t ever go back to book 1 now that I know this outcome is an option. It was just bad.

Their first meeting was a clash of wills. He couldn't believe that attitude that Sophie gave back to him. Fast forward and she is there to interview for the position as his assistant and it begins the battle of wills. Axel can't believe that he has to agree that she is really good at her job but when an unexpected kiss send emotions in a different direction the tide changes and the fight for his heart begins. Axel keeps his feelings closed off for a reason and when his ex comes back into the picture trying to get full custody off their daughter, he propositions Sophie to be his fake wife to keep custody. Will their fake relationship be more than either bargain for and lead them to a happiness neither thought possible.

Axel and Sophie's story was full of banter, and chemistry that is almost life like. They got off on the wrong foot and she is convinced that he is out to make her life as difficult as possible. What they weren't expecting is the draw to each other. He needs a fake wife in order to keep his ex-wife from taking his daughter, but what they weren't expecting was everything to be real. I really enjoyed their story and it keeps you wanting more.

Clash of Personalities
Axel and Sophie get off on the wrong foot, but their desire for one another is overwhelming. They could not get enough of each other, which added to some humor and emotional moments. Obstacles thrown in their path were expected based on past experiences, but the feelings it evoked were intense.

HOLD ON because this romance book by Kathy is going to blow you away and in a really big way. Axel and Sophie are not only steamy but electrifying together even though there are a few bumps that they have to deal with along the way. I won't say what those bumps are but OMG this is a page turning HOT romance read for sure. This is a really great book by a great author.

Billionaire CEO's Accidental Wife by Kathy Asher is book 3 of Forbidden Billionaire Boss. This book was amazing! Sophie and Axel are brilliantly written. The chemistry, the tension and spice they have together makes for a great romance story. I am looking forward to the next book.

❤️ My favorite kind of book.
The characters have been hurt in the past. They are mature, sexy with a lot of humor mixed in. A love that just works in the best possible way. Did I mention the adorable child? Axel is now my favorite book boyfriend.

HOLD ON because this romance book by Kathy is going to blow you away and in a really big way.
