Collecting all of the Werewolf By Night Red Band series as well as a couple of WBN one-shot stories, this is a chunky ol' book for werewolf fans.
The main series is decent enough - it throws in Elsa Bloodstone, and the other WBN, Jake Gomez, shows up nearer the end, but I feel like it was kind of light of actual Jack content. His inner monologue was a little overwrought, and he spends a lot of the 10 issues complaining and not actually doing much to solve any of his problems, leaving it all to Elsa to pick up the slack. It's an ambitious story for just ten issues, with a lot of meandering along the way, and I did find the final two or three issues quite powerful, however. Sergio Davila's artwork was also exceptional throughout, especially since he drew like 9.5 of the 10 issues.
The one-shot stuff is a bit more random. The Blood Hunt story takes place before the Red Band series, but is collected at the back, same with the Crypt Of Shadows story, which makes them a bit weird to read out of place, and the final story throws in Dracula and Man-Thing to try and set-up something else down the line, but at this stage, I don't know if we're going to be getting that.
I'm always happy to see Werewolf By Night getting some love, so I'm not complaining too hard about this collection.
