"Whispers of Fate" ~ Hiliary Amanda
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨️

"Whispers of Fate" by Hiliary Amanda is a spellbinding psychological thriller that delves deep into the human psyche, exploring the perilous consequences of unchecked ambition and the dark allure of revenge. The story follows Blake, a man marginalized and tormented throughout his life, who stumbles upon a mysterious rock granting him the power to reshape reality. Initially, this newfound ability offers Blake a sense of empowerment, but as he delves deeper into his desires, the line between justice and vengeance blurs, leading him down a treacherous path.
Amanda masterfully crafts a tale that is quite suspenseful.. The characters are complex and deeply flawed, making their actions both relatable and disturbing. The vivid portrayal of Blake's transformation from a victim to a figure wielding immense power is both captivating and unsettling. The story is filled with unexpected twists and turns, keeping readers on the edge of their seats and prompting introspection about the nature of power and its potential to corrupt.
The pacing of the story is impeccable, with each chapter escalating the tension and stakes. "Whispers of Fate" is a compelling read that is hard to put down. The moral dilemmas presented are nuanced, encouraging readers to ponder the ethical boundaries of retribution and the true cost of one's desires. I kept wondering what I would do in the same scenario, would I make the same decisions or continue to live miserably?
"Whispers of Fate" is not just a story about supernatural abilities; it's a profound exploration of the human condition, the fragility of control, and the unforeseen consequences of our actions. It's a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers. #book #books #booksgoals2025 #booktokfyp #booknow #read #reader #reading #bookrecs #bookrecommendations #booksworthreading #readersoffacebook #booklover #booksoninstagram #booksarelife #booklife #booklist #bookish #BookLifestyle #booklibrary #bookhoarder #bookishcommunity #bookishthoughts #booktok #booksontiktok #booktoker #fypviral #tiktokviral #fypage #readingcommunity #WhispersOfFate #thriller #HiliaryAmanda #psychologicalthriller #tiktokshop

"Whispers of Fate" had so much potential to be a fantastic read, but it ultimately fell short for me. The plot felt disjointed and confusing at times, which made it challenging to stay engaged. I think the story could really benefit from better transitions or some page breaks to help clarify the flow of events.

The pacing reminded me of someone who’s just learning to drive—there were moments of acceleration followed by sudden stops that left me feeling a bit lost. However, I must commend Amanda for her character development; the characters were well-crafted, which was one of the highlights of the book.

The premise itself is intriguing, but I found myself missing the thrill I was hoping for. It seems like the execution is where the book fell flat. With some adjustments to the pacing and structure, "Whispers of Fate" could easily elevate to a higher rating. It’s a promising start, and I’d love to see improvements in future works!

I received a copy of "Whispers of Fate," and in turn, I am leaving an honest review.

What would you do if you had the power to make wishes come true? Would you do complete acts of kindness or acts of revenge?
Blake has always felt like an outcast. He has always been different than everyone else around him. Making work life and social life sometimes unbearable. However, fate interferes during a work camping trip and Blake stumbles upon a source of immense power. With the power comes responsibility and choices. Will Blake make the right choice?
The author did a great job with developing the main characters of the book and made them very relatable. She gives the reader an opportunity to get to know the characters and form their own opinions about them. The storyline progresses quickly which keeps the reader involved and wanting to know what’s going to happen next. Overall, a nice quick read for anyone who enjoys a good thriller novel. Definitely recommend.

Wow, lol not sure what I just read. The MMC in this book is severely unhinged. It features Blake as the MMC who is a loner, he stays to himself and has severe anxiety and a huge dislike for people. In the office where he works, he stays to himself and is kinda frowned upon by his coworkers because he’s so weird. He is up for a promotion and his boss decides to take the whole office on a mandatory camping trip so they can do activities, for them all to get to know each other better and so they work together on a common ground. One of the female co-workers tricks him into thinking she wants to be with him and makes him strip naked in the woods and then she tricks him and makes a spectacle of him in front of everyone. He then find a magic rock that grants him all the his wishes, but unbeknownst to him, those wishes have dire consequences. So many twists and turns in this book. Not only is he unhinged he is also a psychopath. It was an ok read for me, it was horrible. I wld recommend for someone to read so they can find out what happens for themselves!

“When you choose the behavior, you choose the consequences.”
If there was ever a book that speaks this sentiment loudly this is it!

From the beginning, I was invested in Blake’s life! I was rooting for him and for the revenge he sought…Until I wasn’t!
Chapter 12 😭! At this point, I was ready to fight a fictional character!

This dark thriller will take you on a ride! One minute I loved Blake the next I was furious! Blake’s character is intensely unhinged! His thoughts may be human nature, but his actions and choices aren’t.
Everything trickles down to those that you love most.
(Or supposed to love)

Don’t let this book fool you. There may be magical powers to wish-granting, however this book packs a message with a devious plot.

This book will take you on a ride! I couldn’t put it down!!That ending was a twist I didn’t expect!

P.S. Be careful what you wish for! Karma is a beast!

Now that I am back from turning over every stone I can find with 0 results of anything I wished for I am ready to talk about this book! (IFYKYK). The prologue gave a Segway for the character that ended up being quite different than what I had thought. The author made it plain and simple to dislike the main male character of the story as his ability to just DEAL was very disturbing. THAT was a great I am here for all the unhinged behavior that carried throughout this story.. What I didn’t expect was the other main character of this story .. The stone. It was an element I was not expecting and it was a very different addition. All of what transpired because of the stone was quite the horrific tale I had wanted tho and boy was karma DELIVERED!

At the end the last sentence, I had a nice chuckle and overall was very pleased with the book

Blake should have read the book and taken heed of the old man's warning. It would have saved him so much grief. But there was a darkness in Blake that the stone called to. A darkness Blake recognised in his son Oliver, but chose to do nothing about.

This is the story of one man's quest to not only better his lot in life, but to get even with his co-workers for every slight, humiliation and cruel remarks he suffered at their hands, and he goes about it quite ruthlessly. Blake even targets total strangers, often fatally, when the mood hits him. The 'bullied' has become the 'bully'.

I loved the concept of this story and all it promised, but for me it just didn't deliver.

this book was really interesting. at first I was not sure where it was going but then it took a turn and the book moved quickly. at times I thought it moved to quickly, but it is still a good read. this book is interesting for sure and made me want to keep reading. The main character Blake at first I felt sad about how everyone treated him nobody needs to be treated like that even if they are a little different. but as the book goes on some of the things he does makes me not feel bad for him but I can't believe how he treated other people especially later on how he treats his son. Overall this book is a good read.

Now, I wasn’t expecting for the book to continue on the path of destruction after Blake found the mysterious “rock/stone” in the forest during this business camping trip. After blake’s first wish I saw how the tables started to turn and how his addiction towards the “rock/stone” cause an uproar. I don’t want to add any spoilers, but after reading all of Blake’s unnecessary torture towards others, I really enjoy Oliver’s revenge. Also, the epilogue made me feel like this book should be a movie (if it’s not already) and that this book should be a series (also if it’s not already). I enjoyed this read.

What a ride! This book takes you on a psychological ride! This thriller was amazing! It took me on an emotional rollercoaster. Blake was an awkward man. He kept to himself and was socially awkward. This employer decides to do a weekend team building at a campground. After Blake is embarrassed he runs off to get away. Where he falls upon this amazing rock! Things turn around for Blake. But is it for good or bad? Sometimes good things can turn to be something else. This story will keep you going! Can’t wait to read more books by Hillary ! Highly recommended

I really don't know how I feel after reading this. Probably to start with I'm angry, sad, and remorseful. This story was an evil circle of events- a complete 360 of mostly pain. It started small and good, but it escalated to unwieldy proportions. Nobody quits while they're ahead or break even. Their greed Inspires more greed. A very unsettling twisted tale. I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest opinion.

I do not normally read this sort of book but decided to give it a go.

Its a good read, basically its about the consequences of your actions or the characters in the book, I was kind of saying to myself No Blake don't do that as I read it, then his son started doing the same.

Lets just say Karma does catch up wth them in the end. An intriguing story line. it still keeps popping into my head even though I have finished the book.

I received eceived a free ARC of this book and I am leaving an honest and voluntary review. Blake feels bullied and ignored, tortured by those around him and desperate for vengeance. But when a strange stone and book come into his possession, things start to change. But at what cost? This was a dark and gripping book. The contents may not be for everyone as there are depictions of violence. A good read although the twist was easy to guess

Wishes with consequences

Blake was bullied his entire life and whilst on a work retreat, he finds a stone. Only to find out that this stone grants wishes. Knowing that the stone has consequences he lives his life making wishes to better himself. Only to find out what the wishes were actually taking away from him.

This thriller has so many twists and you don't expect the ending until it's actually happening. Read how Blake makes changes to his life for better or for worse.

Whispers of Fate is a chilling thriller that turns the classic "be careful what you wish for" warning into a sinister spiral of revenge and consequences. Blake’s journey from bullied outcast to wish-fueled confidence is gripping, and the twists kept me hooked right to the end. I enjoyed how the story explored the price of power and how our desires can turn on us. This book is perfect if you like dark stories with a hint of supernatural intrigue.

Firstly, I want to thank Book Sirens for a copy of this!
Quite enjoyed this story. It definitely took me through the motions. At first, I was feeling sorry for the main characters, but then also thinking damn they needed to chill. This is definitely different from what I usually read, but I enjoyed the dark elements to it. I would say it was rather rushed. I could have added to it a bit more even if the climax happened a bit too sudden. Other than that, it was a fun story. I will definitely check out some more of her stuff!

Oh man, this book is wild! Whispers of Fate had me rooting for Blake at first, but then those wishes? Yikes. It’s like giving a kid a flamethrower—what could go wrong? Watching his life go from sad to scary was like watching a train wreck I couldn’t look away from. If you’re into dark vibes, revenge with a twist, and a little "uh-oh, this might end badly," you NEED this in your life. 🪨🔥📖

This book was ok. I like the storyline and the plot of the book. I also enjoyed the twist towards the end. I wasn’t expecting it! There were some editing mistakes in my copy including repeated sentences or paragraphs. I also wish there was a little more character development. Still an enjoyable read!

If you enjoy fast-paced, thought-provoking thrillers with supernatural elements and moral complexity, Whispers of Fate is a compelling and unsettling ride. Blake’s moral unraveling and the high-stakes supernatural twist kept many readers hooked into the night. But be aware: its dark tone, foul language, and graphic depiction of violence aren’t for the faint-hearted.

Whispers of Fate follows awkward and invisible Blake, who tries to keep to himself to avoid being bullied. However, it makes him the target at work. Things take a turn when he goes on a work trip and finds himself the center of attention in not a good way. He stumbles upon a mysterious stone and then the next day wakes up in bed as if nothing on the trip ever happened. Weird things begin to happen every time he makes a wish and then he realizes the power he has. He makes wishes to better himself but also to seek vengeance on those who wrong him, which is understandable. But he takes it too far on innocent people and enjoys creating chaos. I really hated the main character and was not rooting for him throughout the book, but I believe the author did that on purpose. Also, I was not a fan of the writing style, but it is still easy get through the book.

Hiliary Amanda

I read Whispers of Fate in 2 sittings. That is only because my children needed me. I really enjoyed this book it. It explores how a little bit of power can go to peoples head and it examines the consequences of our actions. The last few chapters were really intriguing to me and pulled me in even more. The plot twist was fantastic.

You have great characters that you can really sympathize with. I will definitely look for future releases from Hillary Amanda

I think I would give a 5 star review if there was just a touch more depth within the earlier chapters as there was in the ending.
