Rate this book
Archangel Gabriel returns to Willa Reese, the cancer patient who seems to be a magnet for Maledarchs. He's convinced that Willa—or someone in her life—is his connection to a high-ranking demon. However, if he doesn't uncover a clue before Willa passes away, he loses his lead.

Meanwhile, Archangel Metatron is living on Earth as a man named Ronald Glum. When he unexpectedly finds himself in a psych ward, he meets one of Willa's nieces, Kala, and launches of investigation of his own... and possibly a romance.

Like the previous book, School for Hidden Warrior features a more adult set of characters.

I'm a rather reclusive author living in Ohio with four cats.
I write super fluffy fluff and darkest grim grimdark. "This author has a strange imagination" was my favorite compliment ever. I hope my strange imagination entertains someone out there!

I love all the School for Spirits books, but this, book 10 about the archangel Gabriel really struck a chord with me. He is back in Willa Reese's life, she is the woman he has been watching over, and she is dying of cancer. Gabriel knows she is somehow attracting the attention of a Maledarch, one he needs to find before she dies. Meanwhile Metatron, another archangel is living his life as a famous rapper on Earth, where he has had to be sent when he lost a battle with his evil opponent, and he has met Kala, Willa's niece, on a psych ward. They fall in love with one another and vow to meet up with each other outside the mental home. Kala too seems to have caught the attention of a maledarch. I love the way these two stories intersect one another, I love that we finally get to see the untouchable and aloof Gabriel fall for a down to earth woman. But mostly I love that we still get the positive vibes full of hope these books give us about death and the afterlife. I really hope that this is not the end of this series as I still look forward to reading more of these beautiful heartwarming tales, about the help spirit guides give to us still on the earthly plane! If you have not yet started reading these feel good romantic, angelic fantasy books I really recommend you start reading the first book, I am sure you will be as hooked as I am!
