I have 4 blogs on Blogger, and while I'm very happy with Blogger and their services, I was looking into maybe using WordPress. I have minimal experience with WordPress, and was hoping this book would help me be able to do more advanced things with the WordPress services.
Sadly, this isn't the case. This book was written with the absolute novice in mind, and it was just way too simplistic for me. Everything that was covered in this book would be repetitive for someone who has figured out how to set up the blog/WordPress account and do simple customizations.
Another thing that I did not like is Mr. Falls implied that the ONLY way to use WordPress is to have your own domain and use a hosting company to host your blog, but to use WordPress to update it. For a website that touts itself as being free, this book makes it seem anything but.
This would be the perfect book for someone who has exactly zero clue how to use WordPress, but for someone who's hoping to learn how to do more than just customize the layout and colors. This book is going to be anything but helpful.
