—Big Richie minutes before he caught the wave that ended his life.
Some people just knew how to go out in style.
Tim had never been one of those guys.
Tim was always a planner.
The plan was to get into college, graduate, and find a well-paying job.
That plan was coming together nicely until he saw a presentation to get paid to playThe Etheric Coast.
At his graduation ceremony.
After watching the company's employee recruitment video, Big Richie’s words had a whole new meaning.
He could spend his life going from a cubicle at work to a one-bedroom apartment and back again...
Or he could take a leap of faith by entering a virtual world of unlimited possibilities.
And get paid.
Now he just has to figure out how to get the job of his dreams, help his parents financially, and catch the attention of the girl of his dreams.
It was time for him to catch his wave.
Tim sure hoped it didn't kill him first.

A bit too heavy on normalizing things like emasculation of men and physical abuse in a relationship: for instance the girls do things like hit their boyfriends hard enough to break bones, and regularly do things like claim 'well someone has to be the man in the relationship' and so on - in other words the authors try a bit to hard to be pro feminism to the point it's just misandry, but again, it's a fun read.
Action, suspence, snarky, love, friendship. My gaming started many years ago with text only, maze like games where you only had your own map you drew based on squares/rooms you "entered" It has come a long way! I totally appreciate the style of this series and would love to see another round of adventures!!!
I just keep finding these absolutely fantastic series written by Anderle and company. Captivating and fun. I've never played games before, but this had me think seriously about trying. Maybe not though, my house is a mess and I haven't talked to a real person in a bit. Ha! Read if. You'll be hooked, too.
I have been out of the d and d world for a long time and I’m not a gamer. So I honestly wasn’t sure I’d I would like these books. They were amazing. I couldn’t put it down!
A totally amazing literary romp though a world built on living 24×7 in a virtual environment got to the end and was totally hoping for a second round as it was such an awesome read.
I loved the whole series! I honestly could do without the lesbian parts, but I will not judge. It was a great series that held my interest and kept me up too late at night!🤔
These books are a little different than your typical fantasy series. I really like the idea of being immersed in a VR game world. Pretty cool concept. Now we just need the continuation so we can see what happens next!
