Adrian Storm has spent thirteen years far from the world of his birth, growing up among the people who took him in as a boy. Now a skilled warrior and hunter, he thrives in the rugged wilderness, where survival is both a challenge and a way of life. When violence follows a group of outsiders into this untamed land, Adrian is thrust into a deadly conflict that stirs long-buried memories, and reignites a thirst for vengeance he can no longer ignore.
Tessa Beckett has never shied away from a challenge. As the daughter of one of the fur trade’s most powerful men, she’s spent her life showing she can hold her own in a male-dominated world. When an opportunity arises to prove herself, Tessa seizes the chance to cement her place in the family business. But danger lurks among rival fur companies, and trust is rare.
Forced together by circumstances neither can control, Adrian and Tessa must navigate the treacherous wilds while confronting their fears, loyalties, and desires. As tension ignites between them, the line between hate and attraction blurs. In the heart of the untamed wilderness, will the storm between them forge an unbreakable bond, or destroy them both?
I never thought I'd be a writer, much less publish a book some day. I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I guess life just had other plans for me. When my husband and I decided to start a family, vet school pretty much went out the window. I used to work with a vet who had three children while going through vet school. To this day, she is my hero.
I live with my husband and two teenage sons in southern California. I have a Welsh pony and a miniature horse (down-sized from a barn of six horses). A crazy Labrador retriever who is a food vacuum, three cats, two parakeets, four bearded dragons (my compromise with my sons when they wanted a snake), and a small flock of chickens complete our menagerie of critters. I can’t imagine my life without my animals. My dream is to live in Montana some day.
Four years ago, I began writing a story that, for whatever reason, was stuck in my head for almost a year. I have been an avid romance reader for a long time, and the idea took hold to - why not? - write my own! What a simple idea, right? It has been a long and difficult journey from my first sentence to a completed, and hopefully polished, manuscript. Today, I have a completed series of 5 books and a novella in what I called The Yellowstone Romance Series, two books in my new Second Chances Time Travel Romance Series, and I am currently working on the final book in a trilogy set in the Grand Tetons.
Another great page turner by Peggy L. Henderson! Peggy, once again I've fallen in love with your newest hero. Adrian Storm, with stormy dark eyes that melted my heart. A strong warrior haunted by his past. Tessa Beckett is a woman who won't let anything stand in her way when she wants something important to her. I love her strength and commitment! I enjoyed the unexpected surprises along the way and I thought wow! This book is filled with well written characters, conflicts, adventure and romance! Peggy took me through many twists and turns and then tied it up brilliantly for an unexpected and perfect ending. Looking forward to book two! JudyE
I loved this story and can’t wait to read more in this series. I have read all Peggy’s other books and feel like I’m a part of this make believe but historically based world. It’s so easy to picture myself there with the characters. In this story we are taken to the Tetons in the fur trapper era of American history. The story is a romance, but we get to visit some real places and events. Of course if you’ve read some of the other series by Peggy Henderson, you already know about rendezvous! If not? Well then, get reading!
From the first paragraph I felt this would a great read. Peggy’s books always keep my interest throughout, and this book is no exception. Writing about Adrian then later writing about Tessa and slowly bringing the stories into one was a most interesting read with an unexpected twist. Intrigue, adventure, battles, sweetness, and romance intertwine for a fascinating read.
Another fantastic book! I truly enjoyed Adrian and Tessa's story. Both main characters are well written and both are strong people. They will come together under a stressful time for each of them, but their unity will be tested many times. Once they both realize just what they are feeling they are torn apart. Will their chance at a Happily ever after come again? Pick up your copy today, you won't regret it!
I bought this book some time ago , But I hadn't read it yet. I can't wait for the rest of the hearts over Wyoming Series. The best thing about that is I don't have to wait for the next book. Peggy Henderson you have not lost your touch You write a book That keeps Your readers turning the pages late into the evening. You truly are A master at riding And And drawing Your readers into the story.
I love reading about the 1800's. The trappers and native Americans were the backbone to connecting the two civilizations. Peggy adds a little Romance in just a way to make it plausible. I love the way her characters from other series intertwine. Great fist book in this series. Can't wait for next one.
She works hard to prove her worth and knows that the trading company exists because of her work. He faced a horrible youth and grew up biiter and angry with the tribe who became his family. Full of adventure and the hardship of mountain men and their livilihood... entertaining!
This book is a satisfying story of facing hardships, dealing with tragedy and finding one's place in life. Both main characters are well drawn and switching from one side to the other is effortless. All in all, another fine example of the people and world that inhabit Peggy's mind.
I really enjoyed this new book! I love the scenery and the characters. Peggy really makes everything come alive when you are reading the book. I am excited to read the rest of this series!
