A Choose Your Own Parody Based on E L James Most Excellent Erotic Novel
Whether you loved Fifty Shades or hated it, Fifty Shades of Plaid has something for you!
Fifty Shades of Plaid is a parody of E L James’s famous erotic bestseller written in the style of an old choose your own adventure story. As you explore the world of Christian Plaid you will be presented with various choices in order to advance the plot. In the course of doing so you may uncover the secrets and mysteries that the original never explains. For example: Why is this billionaire playboy so interested in this seemingly plain young woman? How did Christian become so wealthy at such a young age? What is the real foundation of his success? What secrets is he really hiding? (Hint: It has nothing to do with BDSM) Is the legendary Sasquatch of the Pacific Northwest real? (The original didn’t have that in it, did it?) And much more …
Erotic, amusing, at times bizarre, Fifty Shades of Plaid is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever. (Actually, that might be a bit of a reach. We do think it’s worth a belly laugh or two while you’re reading it in the bathroom though.)
Experience the Ultimate Fifty Shades of Grey Parody
This is definitely a parody of Fifty Shades of Grey, and was entertaining as such even though I haven't read the original. It's not as much of a Choose Your Own Adventure book; your choices never take you far from the main plot, and at times you are even scolded for trying to make a silly choice (in a parody CYOA!) and sent back to the correct choice. Still, there are some surprises you can miss if you settle for someone less rich and famous than Christian. It's not a long book, and most of the innards-clenching is laughable rather than erotic. Don't expect too much of it and you won't be disappointed.
I think you did a great job. I have never read an interactive book before & read through all the options. Not familiar with contents of 50 shades of grey, but have heard of it. Loved the "warning" messages. What a crack up!
There isn't much to the story other than a hilarious take on the Fifty Shades phenomenon. Frankly, the tiny George Takei to replace Ana's inner goddess was the best part. A quick thirty minute read to kill some time for those who found Fifty Shades somewhat deplorable.
