Overlooking the quaint town of Bayfield stands Old Rittenhouse Inn, Wisconsin's first B&B. Within its elegant Victorian ambience, the Inn's Landmark Restaurant serves innovative gourmet meals and signature cocktails, including its famous annual Wassail Dinners. American and French cuisines with a lakeside twist are the backbone of the seasonally changing menu. This cookbook shares favorite recipes and kitchen secrets alongside stories of the beloved mansion, its owner family and its visitors for over four decades.

I grew up near Bayfield so it was fun to read the history behind the Rittenhouse. I have eaten there and I even went to high school with one of the waiters. Also the recipes look delicious. I did not know you could eat fiddlehead ferns.
