This is more up to date and comprehensive than "The Independent Walker's Guide to France" by Frank W Booth. It provides multi-day walks through various regions of France with information on accommodation, sights, tourist offices, additional resources and routes to the commencement of the various walks. I'm particularly interested in GR1 and the other grande randonnee walks which are not specifically covered.

There are stunning photographs and plenty of ideas but I was hoping for plans and maps.
