France is a country with great traditions and a spectacular diversity of landscapes. This book explains how to plan your journey through France on foot, offering multiple walking tours in Paris, as well as suggesting routes around beautiful gems such as Annecy and Avignon.
This is more up to date and comprehensive than "The Independent Walker's Guide to France" by Frank W Booth. It provides multi-day walks through various regions of France with information on accommodation, sights, tourist offices, additional resources and routes to the commencement of the various walks. I'm particularly interested in GR1 and the other grande randonnee walks which are not specifically covered.
