Like another who reviewed this book, I found it unusable. The colors are all infused with something....black? gray? and they don't jump out at you. The range seems impossible to work with, along with the process of aligning these color choices to a piece of furniture or room. I don't know who could use this, so why bother publishing it. I read a lot of books on color theory, so when I say "useless" I do so disparingly.

Color is something we live with everyday in nature but that is sadly lacking in the stylish residential interiors. While the selection of ideal color choices for our homes is a good idea, the execution of this book did not work. All the colors are slightly dulled as if gray was added to every color in each "ideal color combination." I can only assume that the publisher, Broadway Books of New York, created a low quality printing with bad paper or inks. That or the author, Joann Eckstut, has cataracts that are affecting her vision. Bottom line is if you like color, none of these combinations will wow you in the least.
