This book really doesn't beat around the bush, it just gets straight in there with tactics and practices to help you be a better communicator. I personally loved that style, and how it's written in plain, easy to understand language, rather than dwelling too much in the theory/science.

I will say the only thing that stops this getting 5 stars is the fact it gets a bit repetitive, almost like they needed to fill a word count, but the main content is definitely worth getting into, and me and my partner have found it extremely useful to improve the way we resolve conflicts.

This book is filled with practical tools to help you avoid misunderstandings and conflicts in your relationship. It’s incredible how small shifts in communication changes the whole dynamics and builds trust for healthier more meaningful relationships. After doing the exercises I feel closer to my partner now and I have a better understanding on how to read his gestures and emotional cues.

Communication is the key

Proper communication leads to a healthy relationship. It’s not just common sense: studies show that couples who communicate well are more satisfied and resilient. Perhaps unsurprisingly, studies also show that poor communication is one of the top predictors of divorce.

This book helps with that poor communication to a more successful relationship.
