A hard topic, presented in an accessible and impactful narrative. This is a devastatingly honest memoir of child sexual abuse and it's aftermath in one woman's life. I usually cannot read about this topic because it hits too hard, but the authenticity and frankness of Sheena King's account, and her incredible writing, both poetry and prose, shine brilliant light on a problem that only exists because it remains hidden.

A really gut-wrenching story of repeated childhood sexual abuse and how it lead to incarceration and the authors attempt to heal herself and help others behind bars. Really moving. Exceptionally difficult subject matter.
