Regrettably, the book has many errors. It was poorly screened prior to publishing. Some practice questions are repeated in the quiz section and different answers given. Obviously, it was supposed to be a different question. In the same quiz...two identical questions occur in a row and have different answers. Again, one of the answers belonged to a different question. The whole purpose of a math book is to get correct answers and these copy problems erode confidence to that end.

Like so many others have said: this book has typos in the answer key. You actually frequently have to turn to google to find out why you got an answer "wrong" only to find out you got it correct. That's incredibly frustrating.

Also, I personally feel some of the techniques discusses aren't well explained and I often turned to Khan academy or some other resource to figure out what the author was trying to teach me. Ultimately, not worth trying to slog through when there are so many other books on the market that do the same thing this book does.

I would try another book from this series, but if it too has errors in the answer key I'll just write the whole serious off.

In summary: needed a better editor and/or more time to edit before being sent out to print.
