Al, the command AI of the Valkyrie-84, has featured heavily in the adventures of Prisoner Number One and his family. But what is he really like? What does he seem like to himself? Al narrates the sixth volume of the Voided Man series.
In this installment, Al begins by telling the story of Number One's exile from his own point of view, and then...
King Harold struggles with how to introduce lost technology back into society on Earth,
Number One and Al hatch a daring plan to rescue the long lost Valkyrie-85,
Maestro falls in love,
Annabelle, Number One, and Al visit the extreme future,
And Squeak the mouse gets to visit the Potato and go outside.
This entire series is riveting. I absolutely could not put these books down and anxiously await the next release. This is a series that I hope goes on and on. I normally get bored and do not complete full series. No cliff hangers, which I am incredibly grateful for. I love it.
I was unsure how I felt about the story being told from Al's perspective, but this volume turned out to be one of my favorites since the first of the series! Al has always been one of the best characters, and now I love him even more! Definitely my most favorite series! Keep them coming, Anthony Dean!
I loved book one of the series. Book two dragged and I quickly gave up on the third. I only started this one because it's about Al, the AI. I really like AIs such as in Ian.M.Banks books. But Al is just too nice, too wholesome. I need edges, archness something more than just being a good guy.
Some of the books in the series strayed a bit too far from the original story for my liking. I'm glad to see that this one has brought it back. Can't wait for the final entry.
