This is a Second Chance MC Romantic Suspense, and this is the second book in the Devil's Riot MC: Mississippi series. I have read the first book in this series before picking up this book. I do think you could read this book as a standalone without any problems. I really loved getting to know the characters in this book. I loved the backstory in this book. I did want more action and suspense in this book. This book was more about the connection between the two main characters and the second chance romance.

FANTASTIC!!!
OMG MC books don’t get much better than this. I love Aries…after he got his head out of his butt. He is getting his second chance with the one woman he had loved. Aries had no idea what Rory had went through all to save him from death. The intensity of their emotions was palpable. Rory was a survivor but it was Aries that did whatever he could to make her whole again.
This is a must read for all MC lovers.

Aries was smitten even when Rory was too young for him, but there were extenuating circumstances that kept them from having the life they both pictured. Aries went into the service and Rory's life took a drastic turn of events. She was forced live a life that she didn't want and when she finds a way to live the life she wants, danger comes knocking once again and her life once again takes a turn on it's axis, but this time it could be a good turn. She just needs to learn to let Aries take the lead this time.
Aries isn't a relationship man any longer, too much has caused him to view relationships as something for others, but when his past comes knocking on his door he may just find that he has been hiding and waiting for the right person to return to his life.
I enjoyed this story and the characters of the Devil's Riot MC, Mississippi are great. I can't wait to read more in this chapter or series.

The blurb for this book had at least 3 egregious mistakes in it. For example: “You can’t do win if you don’t fight.”
Phew. What a ride. No ragrets.
I hate when I don’t know what the main characters look like. Heights, features, eye color… it’s not that hard people.
Apparently the fmc (already forgot her name because nothing stood out) has both striking blonde and slick dark brown hair.
“Blood-matted hair where it should be a striking blonde.” 9%
“It’s always been soft and slick, dark brown and beautifully wavy that flows down the middle of her back…” 57%
And the mmc says, “The other man is more my size and build.” 88% Ok great, what size and build would that be exactly?
Also… Scamp is an awful pet name and why was she so fucking combative towards Aries when she’s at the clubhouse?
I think the author needs to fire their proofreader/editor.
I also can’t help but wonder if the beginning was written by AI.

This is the second book in this impressive series, and this is Aries and Rory’s story.
These two have a past, but after Rory sent Aries a !Dear John” letter, she shattered his heart and he lost faith is relationships. Now Aries’s sister brings Rory to the clubhouse badly injured, but he just wants her gone.
This is a well written emotional roller coaster, which is fast paced, and is action packed, family, friendships, sacrifices, secrets, alliances, survival, challenges, redemption, tension, misunderstandings, revelations, trust, forgiveness, second chances, healing, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, and unpredictable addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I could not wait for book 2 of this series. Ms. Land delivered. Fighting Rosemary set the bar high. Aries and Rory understood the assignment and received an A+. Rory and Aries were THE couple. True love at its finest. They were torn apart by a crazy man that wanted to have Rory for himself. He did whatever he had to do to make that dream a reality, even threatening the lives of the people she loved. Rory was a protector and willing to risk her life for the people she loves.
Rory had an uphill battle with Aries, his family and his friends. Everyone who knew them knew how broken she had left Aries with her "Dear John" letter. So when Aries' sister, Cordelia, shows up in Mississippi battered and bruised with Rory looking even worse, Aires and his brothers had to get to the bottom of things. That meant facing Rory. Though Aires did not want to admit it, Rory will always own his heart. Will he be able to forgive and forget? Rory's problems are now club business. The Mississippi Charter of the Devil's Riot MC did not need this drama after the Rosemary situation. If you don't know, I would advise you to jump on that book fast. You will not regret reading it.

I received an advance review copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.
Battling Aries caught my attention early and had me reading straight through. The story was about second chances, doing whatever you must to deserve the second chance. This road was not easy for Aries nor Rory. Both made mistakes but they worked it out eventually.
The story had my emotions all over the place. Sometimes I could see Rory's reasoning and other times Aries but ultimately I wanted to see them together.
It has been a while since book 1 but I fell quickly back into the world and characters. I love the Devils Riots and have missed them. Welcome back to my must read.

This is Aries and Rory's story. Rory wrote Aries a dear John letter, and instead of him demanding answers face to face, he accepted it. I'm not sure of everything Rory went through, but you can pretty much guess that it was bad. When these two finally come together, it's not hearts and flowers. Once they talk about what happened, they start to work things out. My problem with this book and why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the asshat, you'll understand when you read the book, didn't suffer like I think he should have. That part was built up, and I was expecting something really horrible to happen to him and nope. One two three, and it was over. Oh well, nothing to do, but read the next book in this chapter.
I am looking forward to Wolf's story.

Ending her relationship with Aries was the most difficult thing Rory has ever had to do but it wasn’t because she didn’t love him. Her life since then has been filled with pain is something that no one should have to experience, and she knows that the only person she can trust to help her is Aries, but will he be willing.
Aries was devastated when Rory ended their relationship so when she reappears in his life, he wants answers. He can see she has been through something damaging and now the past doesn’t matter as his only priority becomes protecting her.
This is an emotional and action-packed story as two people who were torn apart by an evil force find their way back to each other.

Rory and Aries thought they had it all, but when he went to basic her life was no longer her own, her stepbrother took over and made her life filled with nothing but pain and punishment. When she decides to run she gets a hold of Cordy and does the only thing she run to Aries. When her past finally comes out and what she had to do to protect him and he decides to battle for Rory and the life they could have. Will he win the fight or will it end him. Definitely read and find out. This second book in this series gives all the emotions, action, second chance love and more. I was pulled into this book and didn't want it too end. I can't wait for the next.

Aries and Rory’s story was great. It was definitely fast paced with lots of action and Aries and Rory got a second chance at the love they were robbed of years before. When they are reunited all does not run smoothly but when Aries learns the truth to Rory’s past we only have a couple of questions that need to be answered. Will Aries believe Rory and will he give her a second chance? There is only one way and that is to read the book and believe when I say you will not be disappointed.

Rodger was an absolute big D who got what was coming to him the fact that he put Rory through all that was sick. Was sad to learn that she had tried to warn Aries about what was going on but he didn't read between the lines of his grief and they both suffered longer then they needed too.
The ending was sweet that they finally get what they should have had years ago. And boy I can't wait for Wolf's story that's just sad but I know things will work out for Wolf.
Definitely a great read and will have to see what happens to Aries sister and brother.

"Finally getting everything that was taken from us"
Battling Aries has it all and nothing less, Rory and Aries must loss everything to get to their happily ever after. As readers, we get a intriguing and beautifully written story. Devil's Riot just keeps getting better with each chapter and I'm happy to say "Yahoo". Up next Wolf and my favorite single daddy raising his son. Book 2 of the Devil's Riot MC, Mississippi Chapter is Aries and Rory's story. It's a great, fast-paced, second chance romance with lots of heat, action and chaos. My heart shattered for Rory and all that she's been through, then, vengeance comes in the form of Aries and the Devil's Riots. It's a thing of beauty when Aries takes back what's been his all along. Another great addition to the Devil's Riot MC.

when Aries gets a unexpected phone call from one of his sisters what is he 2 do about it? he tells her 2 get 2 him as soon as possible and 2 tell him what's going on. when she arrives 2 him the past confronts the present. but will it control his future? he has 2 get answers 2 know what 2 do but the truth can b painful 2 hear. can he deal with it and do something about it 2 satisfy everyone involved? read and find out. it'll keep u wanting more!! i loved it!! can't wait for more on the series!!

They find their way back to each other and all the skeletons in the closet come out. We get action, adventure, drama and spicy good stuff.
The epilogue had a few happy tears for this couple as they find healing and renewed love. Great read!!!!

Loved it, a fantastic read. I absolutely loved Aries and Rory’s story ❤️❤️❤️ with Aries life threatened, Rory gave him up years ago. His sister brings her to the clubhouse after being attacked. It’s a twisted story with a villain not giving up. Aries will do whatever needs doing to keep her safe. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤

Oh lordy, the tension between Rory and Aries in the first portion of the book was insane. I could understand why Aries (in the beginning) hated Rory and wanted nothing to do with her/her troubles but did he have to be so mean? Once everything is cleared up and explained, the passion between the two of them is explosive. And of course, Aries saves the day. I can't wait for Wolf's book!

Loved this book. Aries is with the devil's riot Mc in Mississippi and when his once love rory shows up battered and in trouble but will he help her? Rory wasn't sure if Aries would want her at the clubhouse after what she did to him but she had no choice. When he finds out the truth will he forgive her and get their second chance?

Great book
Rory and Aries thought they would have each other forever until Roger stepped in and threatened Rory. Now he owns her. She escapes one night after a brutal beating and Cordy her best friend, getting hit too, she tells Cordy take me to Aries. When he sees her he is furious. He just needs to get his head out of his @ss and see what is in front of him.

Omg I absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. Rory and Aries have a past. Rory thinks the only way to save the people she loves is to push them as far away as possible. What she doesn’t realize is those people are the ones she really needs to save her? Will Rory seek Aries for help? Will Rory get the love she always wanted and needed? This book is most definitely a 5 star read.

Loved Rory and Aries read, she's one tough woman and exactly what Aries needs. They had one crazy romance when they were just out of their teens. But one controlling man took everything she held dear to her away, even her freedom. As she finally breaks free after years, she runs right into the arms of her old flame. They definitely had a bumpy road to happiness. Absolutely loving this series.

Loved Ares and Rory's story. Book 2 of Devil's Riot Mississippi. There is everything you want from an MC, action, drama, SPICE and more SPICE! 2nd chance romance, with history and a great HEA. As always be sure to read the trigger warnings, as it has some dark moments.

Aries and Rory's story is filled with emotions from start to finish. These two main characters have been through it. And some moment's in the book took me by surprise and I felt for the FMC. But Aries he sure delivers what he needs to. This is a very good read. One I would recommend.
