But once she does, she’ll not only have to bear his absence ... but face what she’s done.

Took me some time to finish this book. I love the characters and world but the content is heavy and if you’re not in a good mindset it’s best to wait till you are.

Today was one of those better days and I finished the finale half of the book. My heart aches. I feel like it’s a slow burn tragedy and I’m hoping for a happy ending.

The author is excellent at writing from multiple characters POV. It’s refreshing actually since some other authors I’ve read blends their characters too much. But the individual voices don’t change, even when you’re shifting from the past version of Lily and Liam to the future version.

The world building is really good. There is a lot of information to take in, but the pacing allows you to digest it.

I’m am looking forward to the next book in the series. Hoping that some of the things predicted are wrong, but interested nonetheless.

Keep up the good work! I highly recommend this book to fantasy lovers alike. Just make sure you pick up book one first, Sunrays Among Shadows, or you’ll be very confused.
