About the author

After a haphazard career spent working and travelling around the world, I stumbled into romance writing as a way to fund a PhD. My first book, A Sweeter Prejudice, came out in 1991, and since then I've written a further 59 books, some of which have won awards in the US and the UK.
I live in York, a historic city in the north of England, and waste the best part of my days planning trips away or on Facebook and Twitter, both of which mean that I end up writing late into the night. As well as romance, I write 'time slips' as Pamela Hartshorne, and am a freelance project editor and occasional writing tutor.

In May 2013 I will publishing the Jessica Hart Vintage Collection of five of my early books from the 90s.

Left minding his sister’s baby girl. He hires single mother of a baby boy. Both end up on an island together.

Enjoyable romance with great descriptions of a Caribbean setting. Little OW/OM drama and lots of h and H interactions. The descriptions of caring for infants are spot on and very funny, especially if you’ve been there. The MCs develop a believable friendship then romance and there is a lot of chemistry throughout. Funny, romantic, satisfying read from an under appreciated writer, IMO

Martha Shaw is trying to leave behind her glamorous lifestyle working as a fashion editor for Glitz magazine to be a single mother. Trying to find the young man who is Noah's father requires her going to St Bonaventure island to try and track him down. Taking on the job of being a nanny for Lewis Mandfield's niece seems like a good idea, but two babies can be very distracting.



Lewis is trying to care for his niece, Viola, and run a business. He is an engineer not a father. Hiring Martha to care for Viola should have been a good idea, but he had to fight the desire to care and comfort Martha.



Unsure if Rory is what she wants, Martha must still tell him about Noah. Spending time with Lewis is making her feel drawn to him. Seeing him learn to interact with the kids makes her fall even further in love with him.
