Twentieth-century American history has been dominated by three World War I, World War II, and the cold war. American participation in all of these conflicts was adamantly opposed by isolationists who cited America's historic noninvolvement in world affairs.
A graduate of Regis College in Denver, Colorado, John Chalberg holds an MA and Ph.D. in history from the University of Minnesota. He taught American history at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN, until his retirement in 2016.
