Anxiety is on the increase. It is estimated that one in five of the population in the UK will suffer from it. While medication can help its effects can sometimes be unpleasant, but is often necessary. The authors contention is that it is the mind that is the problem. The way we think and our behaviour in everyday life that causes fear and apprehension. By understanding what the Masters said in esoteric terms, we can often resolve our stress and anxiety. This is not about religion, which can often be a hindrance rather than a help. Theology has nothing to do with Spirituality; it can even muddy the waters. The Masters taught a way to live in this life that would free us from fear which is at the root of anxiety. The word religion often frightens people off any discussion about Christ or Buddha. They throw the baby out with the bathwater! Let us look at what was said not who said it. A pilgrimage is a journey toward something or some place that is holy. In this case that 'holiness' is recovery from the awful symptoms of anxiety. The modern epidemic.
