I kind of like to think of myself as a normal lady living a semi normal life. I’m not sure that’s all that accurate; I have a sweet husband and two dogs-my girls- that I think of as my children. I grew up in Sonoma County, California and I never pictured myself moving. Funny because now I live in North Idaho and I love it here, I love the summers; camping, bar-b-ques with friends, and the farmers markets. I find the winter magical and love the snow. I started writing as a hobby. I’ve been one of those people who has been obsessed with the world of the paranormal for as long as I can remember. I self published my first book in August of 2011 at my husbands’ urging.

Sophia’s story was truly meant for me at the beginning. Now I love that I chose to share these characters with everyone who’s chosen to read about them. I love these characters. They hold a special part of me and represent the strength and knowledge that comes with never giving up. of course I’m biased.

As for me personally, I’m not one who ever really shared much of my own story, however not long ago I finally shared my story with the fans who followed my Facebook page Magen McMinimy Author Page so I figure my story is out there for the world to read so I might as well share it here . . .

Like I said I grew up in California, I was born in Santa Rosa, Ca on April 19th 1983, I had a simple and pretty good childhood with a rather great family. I have wonderful parents and a pretty great sister( I didn’t always think so as I was growing up, but now I know the simple pleasures of having a sister as my best friend, she also gave me my nephew Asher who I adore). When I was nine I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, I was fortunate enough that it didn’t affect any of my major organs, but on the flip side of that it was in my eyes.

When I was around the age of twelve, I was given the diagnosis of secondary glaucoma. At thirteen I had my first in a fairly long line of surgeries to help control the pressures and remove the cataracts in my eyes.

When I turned twenty-one I took the first step of a major life change and moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
I left a lot of amazing friends and an amazing extended family. I met my now husband a few months after the move and was married to him in June of 2006. In 2008 I finished college and became a wedding planner. I love a good party and I live to decorate and make things beautiful and amazing for those around me.

In April of 2010 I woke up one morning with no vision in my right eye, I got an appointment with a specialist and found out I had blood vessels growing in the back of my eye that led to nowhere and were steadily bleeding. I underwent treatments and we got the bleeding under control and eventually stopped completely. But not before some major damage had been done. My doctor got me on the road to getting some help and I work each day with a small amount of remaining vision in my left eye.

So why do I tell you all of this? I tell you all because this is who I am, and those of you taking the time to read this have probably read at least one of my books and because of that you’ve helped to make this dream of writing and reaching out to others who love books, and vampires, and shifters and all things gorgeous and sexy . . . come true!

Life is a constant balance of what we want and what we need. It's also a lot like a Battle. A battle that we all have to fight in our own way. I chose to try and love and cherish every minute that I get to chase my crazy dreams and create a world and characters to get lost in.

Only four stars for this one. It felt a lot slower in pace for me. But still keeping with the previous books

I was pleased with the content that brought a bit of everyday life into love, loss, and love again, including the introduction of a child brought into the relation from the loss. Good content.

McMinimy Does It Again
I should not be surprised that Magen McMinimy has yet again written a story that sucked this reader in so fast and held on so tightly that in less than two days, I had started and finished Immortal Rapture.

Many McMinimy fans have been waiting - some patiently, some not so patiently - to hear Uriah's story. The steadfast warrior who always seems to put his wants and needs second - the perpetual middle child constantly wrangling his brothers - finally got to come first. This man with a heart of gold was put through hell in previous books but stoically remained true to his brothers - blood or chosen - through some of the worst situations a person can imagine.

In the Immortal Heart series so far, readers have seen Uriah find love, deny himself that love, give in to love and then lose his love. It seems like a lot for one character to go through in such a seemingly short span of time. I was incredibly happy to see that after a particularly grievous injury he suffered in Immortal Promise, Uriah finds himself in situations that allow him to be healed in body, mind and soul. For a warrior who tends not to acknowledge just how badly he's hurting (and who can't relate to not wanting people to know you're hurt), it was such a moment of relief when he finally found what he's been looking for.

McMinimy truly has a way of never forgetting a character even when you wonder if she has. Readers got a little more closure on what happened to Immortal Blood bad guy/luck eater Zander (is it wrong I still feel the guy can be redeemed?). We also got a bit deeper look into the world of fan favorite female character Izzy. Izzy rocks some serious power in these stories, but it's her human life that drew me in from the beginning and we get to see how her having fae blood will affect her family back in the human world. It pleases me to no end when authors remember that just because a characters particular "story" is finished that their overall story still has chapters to go. Making sure that characters still carry importance from book to book in a series - even when they're not the focus - really keeps the reader caring about the world that's been created and adds so much dimension to that world. I truly feel as though the lands that McMinimy has created are places that could legitimately exist - when tours begin, I'd be first in line.

And lest you think that McMinimy has only given the reader more background on one male character they've become emotionally attached to, she's finally -- FINALLY -- begun to reward her readers for their devotion to Immortal Four brother Makyle. I can honestly admit that in each series I read there is one character that no matter what stands above all others - in this series (for me) that's Makyle. No, Makyle doesn't get his full story yet, but that's going to be a great book when he does. We do get to see more of the "human" side of the elusive Immortal. His bond with Izzy is most definitely one of my favorite parts, but seeing this seemingly standoffish, stoic, emotionless man experiencing things for the first time with the fae warriors and their mates made my day. It's not hard to write a character that doesn't care - it takes talent to turn them into someone your reader cares about.

Magen McMinimy has talent in spades. I truly hope her Immortal Heart series continues for years to come - maybe we'll get to see her do a time jump and we can see the future children finding their own ways in the world. For now though, I'll happily go back to the beginning and start the series again.

This is the 4th book in Magen's Immortal Heart Series. I absolutely adore this series!!! Magen continues to amaze me with her books and writing! I absolutely love all her books and have every single one out.

Uriah's Story: After losing both Rowan and the love of his life Jelena, Uriah is left feeling empty not only because of the loses of both woman but also the previous tragedy with his wings that never fully healed. Izzy being the loving caring sister she is, knows something needs to be done and can't stand seeing someone she loves suffer. She heals his wings completely and then points Uriah in the right direction to hopefully his future.

After his visit with the fates, and finding out that hiss beloved Jelena is in fact still alive and will be returning to where she belongs with her sisters. However, once with her sisters, he will never be able to see her again. (I know, what the heck right? That's not fair) He also learns stuff about his mother and something about his and his brothers (Kale and Lothar's) future that can be passed down to their children. Uriah decides that he needs to just get away from everyone and process all this information he just learned then figure out his next move. Izzy again comes to the rescue and gives him the keys to her place in the Human World. Shortly after being there Uriah gets a surprise visit from Marie, Izzy's younger sister.

Having her own issues and not knowing how to find her sister, Marie goes to Izzy's house where she discovers Uriah staying there. They talk about their problems and why they are at Izzy's. The two start to notice how instantly drawn to one another. While trying to work out their stuff, Uriah gets another surprise visit from Makyle who brings with him something Uriah was not prepare for let alone knew about. Marie steps up to help out and they all return to the Middle World to embark on their next journey.

Can they succeed on their journey? Does Uriahs heart heal and Is Maria the one for him? Find out what happens!

Great 4th story in the Immortal Series. This is Uriah's story, even though all the characters play a role in the story.

Uriah is still grieving the loss of Jelena and Rowan. And is still suffering because of the damage down to his wings. Izzy knows about his wings and helps him heal and tells him what he should do next.

After a visit to the Fates, Uriah learns Jelena isn't dead, but once she returns to her sisters, he will not see her ever again. He also learns about what, and who, his mother really was, and the curse that he, Lothar, and Kale share and will pass onto their sons.

After the talk with the Fates, he needs to get away to clear his head and to be able to move on and move past it all. Izzy lets him stay at her house. Out of the blue, Marie, Izzy's baby sister shows up. And things take off from there.

Uriah and Marie instantly bond.

Makyle shows up with a very big surprise for Uriah. He had no clue about it. Marie steps up and helps out.

Esperanza is still up to her tricks. Doing anything to get her what she wants, including kidnapping.

Magen sucks me into her paranormal stories. This is becoming one of my favorite series. Her take on the fae and her writing is amazing. I feel like I am in the middle world with all of them.

Immortal Rapture is the "An Immortal Heart" series and these books just keep getting better and better!!!

This is Uriah's story and it's a toss up whether I like him or Bain the best of all the Immortal Warriors. They both have qualities that make them really stand out. Uriah is the gentleman, both in attitude and in actions. At the end of Immortal Promise he lost his love, as well as his Queen, and was gravely injured. Cree decides to let him get away for a while to try to come to terms with his losses. First, he goes in search of the Fates, to get the answers to some important questions. When he returns to the castle Izzy loans him her house in the human world.

The afternoon after his arrival, and a little party with his brothers, he's woken up by someone entering Izzy's house. It's Marie (Izzy's little sister) and she is very upset. They are both startled to see the other there. It is determined that Marie is going to stay at Izzy's for a while and then the story really starts to get interesting.

There are several pretty good surprises for everyone in this story. Suspense, action, sex, it's probably my favorite of this series so far. I will be reading the next one soon and I'm sure it will be at least as good as this book.

I have been expressing how much I adore the Immortal Heart Series, and Magen McMinimy does not disappoint with Immortal Rapture, the 4th book in the series.

This is the story about Uriah, the gentle and balanced Fae Warrior. He meets his match in the fiery Marie, and their journey is definitely popcorn worthy. There is passion, tension and multiple story lines involving all the Fae Warriors, including the Immortal Rulers.

The Immortals have been sparse in the previous books, but I for one am so excited to see more of all of them, especially my Favorite, Makyle. McMinimy has once again woven rich subplots amongst her main story. The characters in this series grow and change, as they should. They react to what happens to them, and subsequently evolve. It's wonderful, even if its heart breaking and frustrating, because it's true!

Immortal Rapture is fantastic journey, rich in lore and character, leading the reader to the next book, and I can't wait for Book 5!!

Wow! I loved this book, it was fantastic! Ms. McMinimy never disappoints! This is the fourth book in this series and is Uriah's and Marie's story. I have to say that Uriah really stole my heart in this book; he is so sensitive, caring, and romantic and yet strong and masculine. I love seeing how each of the characters has grown since the original book, and still each of them has maintained their unique personalities that the author did such an awesome job of showing. As always, each character and scene were vividly and beautifully descriptive and its easy to picture everything happening as if it were a movie playing in your head. I wish I could just move into this book and stay there. Five stars only because I cant give it more.

The 4th book in the Immortal Heart series, and once again it doesnt disappoint! The more I read in this series the more I am falling in love with all of the characters. This book focuses on Uriah and Marie. I love Marie and she is the perfect match for Uriah and its great to see his happy and having a second chance of love after Jelena.

As well as Uriah and Marie we also see the usual characters we all love including Bain, Izzy, Kale and Kate etc. Who are all still recovering from the death of Rowan.

I cannot wait to see what happens in the next installment of the story. I read this part in 24 hours so cant see me being long reading the next if its as good as this.

Uriah. I loved him before Bain when his calm demeanor and relaxed attitude helped Izzy when she first found out about the world as few humans knew. I've excitidly waited to see his happily ever after and wow it was not in the way I expected it.

Jelena did something she was never supposed to, but that brief happiness came with a price.

This is Uriah's story as you never expected it but will be as excited as I was for how it played out.

Each story grows on the last and they get more exciting with every addition. And while you see the characters grow it's not the same story for each one it's something different every time while giving you more of the characters you've grown to love.

This series had fast become my favorite! Each book gets better! I love that she doesn't forget about the previous characters and how incredibly well written the books have been! The premise behind her books are of a new twist on the Fae and vampires, and other realms! The realms leader has fallen and pain and loss is rampant! As the realm copes and learns to live again! As much as I love the Immortal warriors, I think I love the immortal brothers and sisters! This series has so many possibilities for spin off stories! Just to tell you my love of this Author, I took a vaca day to read it!!

Once again, Magen brings you into her world and entangles her in the story. You can't help wanting to know what's going to happen with everyone, and as usual you get to see a little of everyone.
After the way things ended in the last book, I wasn't sure what to expect. Doesn't look like Jelena is getting her HEA, but with her position, it makes sense.
At least Uriah finds a couple great reasons to live.
I'm going to leave it at that so I don't spoil the story, but this is definitely a must read.

I love this series. I can't say enough good things. The story and the world this author has come up with is fabulous. I love the warriors. I am so glad Uriah has another chance at love. They have dealt with such tragedy and to read of some good things happening for them is nice. Since I read these out of order the next one Makyle and Sam's story too is awesome and now I have the last one to read Immortal Rising, I can't wait to devour it. I do hope Cree get's his happy ending and the bad guys get what's coming.
