Venom in my Veinz

Rate this book
No matter the effort that Bromise Balducci put forth early on to undermine his passion to kill, he’d fall weak to the seducer of power over again. Initially, it was only his mentor and grandpa, Brisco, that basked in the joy of Bromise’s frequent killing sprees.

Then something changed. He began to feel the urge to kill; to feel his adrenaline rush through his bloodstream as his pulse beat in sync with the rapid blasts of his banger. With each job, he became more addicted to the power of controlling life or death.

His signature style trigger-finger placed him in a class of his own. He chased the rush like a clucker chased a fix with only one objective in mind…to take back the crown that was wrongfully stripped from Brisco…The King of Chicago! And nothing or no one will stop him.

Venom In My Veinz by Rumont Tekay

The world is full of thinkers, hustlers, jump offs, and all kinds of people. These same people come from all walks of life, with stories to tell and teach. Which one are you?

Bromise is a born thinker who comes from a bloodline full of thinkers and major players. Bromise jumps into the hustle game at a young age, in which his grandfather Brisco, introduced him. Brisco teaches Bromise the levels of hustling and the players who operate on each level. Bromise keeps those lessons in his mind as he grows not only in the ranks but as a young man in world that takes no prisoners.

Alongside Bromise is Chasidy, the epitome of a ride or die. Chasidy is the other half of Bromise and makes moves parallel to his moves. She truly loves Bromise and is there even when he makes small mistakes. Chasidy is not going your average hood chick and not just a mouthpiece.

Venom in my Veins is not your average killer, drug dealer, jackboy story. It delves into the world of the streets but from the mindset of the reader thinking like Bromise. As you read, you start trying to read the plays Bromise is making and just when you think you have them, the plays change like a seasoned coach at the Superbowl.

I give four stars for this story. Rumont kept me engaged and there were not any slow moments. Fast paced, gripping action that makes you wonder what will happen next.

The new Bonnie and Clyde are Bromise and Chasidy! This book had me hooked from the first page. You have Bromise being groomed at an early age by the boss of all bosses... his grandfather, to become a Don in the family drug business. Then you have Chasidy, Bromises girl, sticking by his side and doing her part in helping him take over the drug game. Bromise gets his chance to put his plans in action when Future gives him a chance to run his own trap house, bringing his most trusted friends alone for the ride of a lifetime. Chasidy is right there luring Future into her web and Future is none the wiser. What a woman wouldn’t do for her man! Then things change for the worst. People are coming up dead or missing and Bromise is left in a position that he just might not be able to get himself out of.
This book has you hanging onto each page until the very end, and then leaves you wanting more. I cannot wait for book two; I need to see how Bromise, Chasidy, and their crew get out the mess they have created in the deadly game changer…Venom in My Veinz.

I had the honor and pleasure of reading Rumont book "Venom in my Veinz" that has yet to be released. If anyone has read" The Ruthless Dictator" that he has also written. Just know this. This young man has out penned his own damn book.I had to laugh after I finished reading it because I was amazed and floored at the talent he showed from his previous book to his book Venom in my Veinz that will be released this summer.Venom in my Veinz is raw, gritty, scandalous, and straight up hood.Honestly if it was possible I would give it more than 5 five stars. It is going to be a definite banger. So I would advise you all to get suited and booted and while you all are at it strap on your seatbelts too because Venom in my Veinz is going to take you all on a helluva ride.

From the beginning, I was hesitant about the subject matter and the characters, but I wanted to step outside my current reading trend of emotional turmoil (and read a novel I think my students would enjoy). Little did I know, these characters would leave me with just as much emotion as my summer romance novels.

TeKay does an excellent job of keeping the reader interested and entertained. The language is spot on and really pulls the reader into the narrative. Action-packed chapters make it hard to find a stopping place. Characters Bromise and Chasidy's love story, along with the erotic scenes of love and lust, is just one of the fun aspects of the book.

There were some parts that I struggled with, but biased aside, this book shows the streets in its true nature. TeKay doesn't hold back, and I really like that about him. He doesn't hide his characters flaws, which make them more believable.

The teacher in me won't allow me to recommend this book to students due to the erotic scenes and explicit language, but I know it might be the only book I could get some of them to read. While my students are not in as deep as Bromise and Chasidy, I could see a few of my students who have and will choose this type of life. I can better understand the appeal, and I hope they won't end up hurting and empty like the main characters.

I'm glad I stuck with it and read it thru...now, for part two!!

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review through Goodreads Read It Review it.

I just finished Venom in my veinz and I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end. I literally read this book in about 4 hours because I couldn't put it down. Character development was through the roof and the story line was amazing. I actually could see the scenes play out in my mind as I read the words... By the last couple of pages, I was literally sitting at the edge of my seat with anticipation of how everything would play out, I was not disappointed but I am anxiously awaiting part 2 to see how everything unfolds. If I could I would give this book 10 stars, because it was just that good..... When it drops, one click and fasten your seatbelts, because this book will take you on a rid jaw dropping ride, yet you still will be begging for more....#TeamVenom

Venom in my Veinz was a great read. I honestly didn't know where the story line would go at the start, but once I read further into it that was a wrap. Let me just say, Whoa! The author has a way with words, he consistently painted a very vivid picture of each character and each setting/situation from start to end. Everything literally came to life in my mind like a movie, I like that. I'm anxious for pt. 2 because I know it will be the truth! Money, drugs, murder, sex, love, loyalty and betrayal, secrets and lies, scheming and plotting, this book has it all and it's so unpredictable...KUDOS!! Thanks for the read. 5 star rating

Just finished reading Venom in My Veinz...Definitely a five star book. I finished it in Four hours!! Love the characters... They keep you guessing and wanting to know whats going to happen to them. Your use of words was outstanding!! By the middle of the book I was reading faster and faster just to find out what was going to happen. Chasidy is the Shyt and Black Mamba... Sigh I would marry that man. You took street knowledge and literary knowledge and intertwined them in a way Honestly I havent seen in Urban Lit!! You have definitely earned a Fan!!

Just finished Venom in my veinz and I am livid! How can we come so far and be left hanging like that! Seriously, this novel was great! The intricate artistic play on the story is fresh, exciting and grasps the reader. We are captivated and absorbed into the life of Bromise and Chasidy. They share a twisted love story that hinges on murder, mystery and calculated brillance! I anxiously await the finale with baited breath and a stalk the author mentality. I salute you for a well written book! You have gained a new fan!

Venom in my Veinz
What can i say. That was so good, I kinda didn't expect it to be that good but to my surprise I loved it. Bromise is the man, he keep you thinking of what he was going to do next. I loved the relationship he has with Chasidy, they are good for one another. I just hope they make it out alive and I hope Bromise will find out who set his grandfather up so he can move on. I give this book 5 stars.

I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing Rumont TeKay's book Venom in my Veinz. I have to say this book was outstanding. It had my attention at the first page and kept it all the way through the book. I could not put the book down. Venom is so full of action that you stay engaged right up until the nail biting, cringe worthy end. I would love to see this book made into a movie. Well worth the eye strain and loss of fingernails.
