Title - How to Get Laid Before the Main Course - A Gentleman's Approach for the Big Date

This is a How To Book and quite honestly women should be picking it up and gift wrapping it for the men in their lives. It is told in a tongue in cheek manner from a guy to all the other guys, but what it is in reality is a How To Guide on how to treat the woman in your life like she wants to be.
It actually lays out rules.
"..Rule 1: PREPARE. All animals have mating rituals and they prepare for them, from working on their appearance to practicing their behavior. Inviting a female to dine at your cave is a mating ritual. Prepare yourself, prepare your place, prepare your clothes, plan the meal and plan the drinks..."
The are rules for what vegetables to cook, how to choose them and how to present them. There are rules for what bread to choose as well. What wines to choose and what they go with. There are recipes as well.
This is a cook book after all. The recipes are simple and fairly easy to perform. Tilapia with 5 spice and Sweet Chili Snow Peas (suggested wine is a cold chardonnay or Pinot Grigio). For desert Fresh Berries with Cointreau and Chopped Mint. That is one suggestion.
"..When it comes to seductive dinners:
-Avoid anything that may possibly make a mess
-Avoid anything that might later create unpleasant odors
-Avoid anything that results in chasing food around the plate
-Avoid anything that looks back at you or her or is moving..."
This How To Book is a perfect read for men who are no longer taught how to be gentlemen.

Forget Bobby Flay. Definitely forget the bleach blonde bimbo who does Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. This is the cookbook every man should own. Not just single guys but married guys as well.
I've been cooking meals for and with my wife for over twenty years and I can tell you that the old saying, "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" is wrong. It's the way to a woman's heart among other beautiful parts!
Who says date night has to be at a stuffy restaurant where the waiter ignores you. Cook your lady a sweet little dinner at home where she doesn't have to do anything and you won't be ignored.
The title and book is geared toward men. There isn't a guy out there who is going to see those first four words in the title and not be curious about picking it up. What he will find inside is a moment by moment, detailed guide on how to do a nice romantic dinner for the woman in your life.
The recipes are simple and elegant. The rules on presentation are awesome and yes, there are even rules on how to speak and listen on your date.
A fun and informative read. I really liked it.

How to Get Laid Before the Main Course by Vimal is most definitely meant for male readers, but I requested the book from NetGalley since I was curious, whether I would recommend this book to read to my nephew or not. Well I don't know. This book was like a recommendation book by Fab Five or book written by Hitch (Will Smith) before he met his true love. It's a book for a serial dater - they get their grip together for three dates, clean their living space for one night and after that they go back to be their usual slobs, till they want to get laid again. All the advises where for one night, not how to keep the lady they like. Would I like my nephew to read a book like that? Well ... it would not hurt, there are some useful thing, but I would not like him to live by it. But from a woman's point of view ... I would not like to meet a guy like this, who will fake to be a gentleman for a night and will become a needy mamma's boy on a morning who needs somebody to feed/clean/encourage him.
Was it a good How to Get Laid for Dummies? It would be a good start, but it's encouraged to follow up with How to Keep the Girl for Dummies.

I would classify this as a dude cookbook…the recipes ( I had a few) are delicious simple no fluff… 4 cook book stars

The random CapITALized LEtterS drive me insane in the entire book!!!!
“Once she has agreed to come for dinner, there Is more than a 65% chance you will get laid “
(as a woman…that’s a yes!)
Golden rules
Prepare: food/house/drinks.. a woman likes a guy to have his shit together before she shows up
Treat her right: .. the little notes here are amazing and really do maketh the man.. drinks go in glasses…don’t overpour booze
Melt her with your cool:.. RELAX best tip…don’t answer phones
This book has a bunch of cute easy recipes that would make my panties fall off before dinner
It also has a dude first time cooking rule book and things you need..how to choose meats, veggies, cookware..without it sounding like Rachel ray.
I like the cheese and wine pairing because most guys will hand me a beer and said yep… even if you fake knowing we are so impressed we could drink the bottle and you i

This is definitely not your average cookbook and calling it a self-help book probably wouldn’t do it justice. However this book is a combination of everything that a man (and a woman) needs to know for their first dinner date. This book is definitely the holy grail or in my Buddhist world..the lotus sutra for those of us who are simply romantically challenged. This author has covered everything from A-Z, from cooking to choosing the perfect wine, to kitchen safety and how to make your apartment presentable, to reading cues from your date, and appropriate conversations.

Different kind of book for sure. And there's a lot of truth to the tips he gives. It's written with humor, so you can have a laugh as you read.
The first section goes over how to get a date, and then how to behave during the date, so you can get another date. There is a section on manners and info for setting a table, some grocery and wine shopping tips and then recipes.
Guys, it wouldn't hurt for you to read this book ;o)
