A unique travel guide blending local history and culture with points of interest, written for people who want to see and know the true essence of the area. A light read with a few unexpected but relevant topics, informative in all regards.
This is an interesting and informative book for anyone traveling to North Dakota. It includes anecdotes, history, geography as well as places to visit and restaurants. Organized by region (Southeast, Northeast, Northwest, Southwest), which can get a bit confusing but it provides continuity to the narrative. Many of the author's recommendations are places you would not find out about in a standard tour guide. It was written in 2013, so a few things are out of date, and checking online to verify is a good idea.
