Very emotional and interesting story. It is one of it's kind that a young Somali writer wrote which I've ever read. So outstanding.
If i review in a nutshell, Halima was young as 7 when a brutal war erupted her town, Mogdisho. It was unforgettable incident when she saw her math teacher gunned down in front of her in the midday. Then she left her home town to Kenya where she lived in a camp for 18 months. After that, he and her family left the camp to India then to Pakistan. She took her childhood in Pakistan and educated there. After 9 years of presence in Pakistan, she flew to USA in 2ooo.
In the USA, her father passed away and she was diagnosed ovarian cancer, but she fought back and survived after her ovaries have been removed in order to eliminate the cancer.
I'm highly recommended to read this story because it teach you to not lose hope when life hits you a brick on the head.

I learned something, and the outline of the story is compelling. But could have been much more, and needed an editor.
