Three months and one week it took me to read this excellent book - time I'll never get back and yet, it was worth it. I now know more about Oracle SQL than I ever did about MS SQL, even after having used it for several years. The difference is this: I'm now writing SQL in words, whereas before I was building it up using pictures and connections on a graphical interface.

Roopesh Ramklass has written a very clear and precise guide. If he is at all as Indian as he name seems to suggest to my untutored eyes then he has not left a trace of it in this book. It is as English as apple-pie.

Don't know what else to say now. If you read the book itself you will know that it is all technical with little more than a smidge of humour to warm it up. Fact on fact with many practical and worked examples of every aspect. There are some examples in the book that I have typed out, and sworn back-to-front and up-and-down that they have errors in them. Not true. The error was always mine. Some misplaced bracket or character missing.

But even after all that, I'm not sure that I'm good enough to pass the exam right now. Maybe if I read the book another couple of times and worked with Oracle SQL for a couple of months I would be good enough, but not right now.

Great book. Recommended.
