Bruce Lee

Life is all about making mistakes. I’ve made a lot of them in life, and learned from none of them. Until now. My biggest mistake of all, was letting him go.

Then I lost it.
I thought I finally had my life back on track when I found her.
But one slip up and I lost everything. Again.

Kennedy Crawley spends her days helping others conquer their demons at Hope and Chance Retreat, in Australia’s Northern Territory. After spending her life being someone even she didn’t like, she finally sought the courage to overhaul her life, dreams and aspirations. Now, she’s determined to stay on track and be a better person.
Kye Austin was living his dream life as a professional football player. Until the day his sins caught up with him. He was sent to Hope and Chance Retreat to get his life back on track. After winning his battle, he decides to stay in the area and try to win the affections of Kennedy.

I feel so lucky to be reviewing Cowboy Redemption by Kasey Millstead. I am a huge fan of the series. While you can read this book as a standalone, I am glad that I was already familiar with the characters that are in Cowboy Redemption. While I thought I would be reading about Kennedy with her bad attitude I was wrong. By the time this book starts Kennedy has seen the light on her bad attitude and she has started her life on a better path. Kennedy is working as a mentor. She is using her bad decisions in her past to help teach kids and adults how to make better decisions in their own lives. Kennedy is trying to rebuild herself into the person she truly wants to be. Then enters Kye, a former footballer whose choices landed him in trouble with the law. He had graduated the program that Kennedy works at.
Watch as these two work together and separately to overcome their past demons. It is not an easy ride, they have to work at it. Watch as they fight to be worthy of the other. Read the heartache that tears them apart, the friendship that binds them together gets stretched almost to the breaking point. Nothing worth having is ever easy and Cowboy Redemption proves that point.
Kasey Millstead lulls you into falling in love with her characters. Her writing makes you feel the emotions and makes it almost impossible to put down that book at the end. I want to dive back in to the world Kasey has created for all of us. I was sad when I hit the last page, heartbroken that I was no longer in Kennedy and Kye's world.

This is the 6th book in the Down Under Cowboy series. I have really been enjoying this series so far.

This is Kennedy and Kye's story. Kennedy used to be a real bitch to her sister and we start off hating her and not trusting her. She tried to turn her life around and repair the relationship with her sister. She worked at a camp for trouble teens and adults, where she meets Kye. Sounds like a perfect storm.

This book was my least favorite of the series. It just felt real kiddish or predictable. The trust falls were to much for me to get into. Anyway, you pretty much have to read this one, so you can read the next one. Happy reading :)

I love this cowboy series, but I was hesitant to start Kennedy's story because I loathed her treatment of Ava. But as the title suggests, this is her chance to redeem herself and perhaps find her cowboy like all of the others have found theirs.

The act of Kennedy’s redemption, in my opinion, is two fold - she first needs to seek forgiveness from those who she destroyed by being malicious and then she needs to become the person she wants to be; someone who is not insecure, jealous, or resentful. The first step seems easy enough because Kennedy is surrounded by a family who easily forgives, but where the work comes in is when she has to fight to stay on the right path and push herself to be better.

Kye Austin knows a thing or two about seeking redemption as well. He unequivocally destroyed his future by feeling larger than life, but he’s brought down to earth by his mistakes and must do what he needs to do to reclaim the man he used to be and should have been before his success went to his head.

A relationship between two people who are both working towards being better people and making up for their past misdeeds seems to be a huge risk, but, on the other hand, it might just be what they need to guarantee their redemption.

I’m a bit torn on how I feel about Kennedy and Kye’s story. There definitely is growth on Kennedy's part throughout the text, but I felt like the changes were told rather than shown, and I wanted to experience her self revelations and her healing of relationships a bit more to truly understand how much she has changed. I understand that a few years have passed since she decided to change her life for the better, but I just couldn’t grasp the 180 degree change because I wasn’t provided the foresight to do so.

The chemistry between Kennedy and Kye is definitely there, and Kasey Millstaed does a great job of taking things slow in order for Kennedy to not repeat the same bad behaviors. Kye is extremely patient with Kennedy, which proves the type of man he is and what he wants to have with her.

Once again, the characters from the previous books in the series are present in Cowboy Redemption, and it’s great to catch up with them and see how much their lives have changed, and I can’t wait for all of their epilogues in Book 7.

I love all of Kasey's Cowboy books, and this was another great read.
Cowboy Redemption features Kennedy, Ava's sister from an earlier book in the series. Kennedy was the sister we loved to hate. She was jealous of Ava and she didn't hesitate to bully her.
In This book, however, we see a totally different side to Kennedy. She's grown up, and I must say, I really like her. She meets Kye at a retreat for people that are sent there instead of juvenile detention or in the adults' case, jail. Kye is an ex football player that couldn't handle his alcohol. Alcohol made him angry and aggressive.

Kye's connection with Kennedy is instant, only neither of them have the nerve to act on their feelings. After a while, they realise they can't fight their feelings any longer and decide to take things further. Kye and Kennedy are like a normal couple, they are great for each other, but they can argue like the best of them. That's what makes them so real, that it's not all hearts and roses, and it definitely isn't smooth sailing for this pair. I loved this couple just as much as any other of Kasey's cowboy couples. Never a dull moment in Pine Creek, that's for sure!

This is Kasey's sixth book in the Down Under Cowboy series, and I have loved each and every one of them. She has the knowledge and the ability to draw us in to these books and have us falling in love with these Aussie cowboys in no time. They are easy books to read, and not too long in length, so her books are usually read in one night by me. I get hooked and can't sleep until I've finished.

If you haven't read the previous books, I highly recommend that you do. This book can definitely be read as a stand alone, but you will recognise the characters that have featured in previous books better, if you read the others.

I believe Kasey has one more book to write in this series, and I will be sad that it has come to an end. These cowboy books are fun to read and very addictive. I have no hesitation in recommending them to all my reader friends.

*An Advanced Readers Copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.*

When I started this book I found it very hard to actually get into this book. Don’t get me wrong this book is an easy read but it felt like nothing interesting happened. This is the first book I’ve read by Kasey Millstead. I am really torn how I should feel about this book. My rating says 4 heart Rating but this book only reach a 3.5 heart rating.

There was some growth on Kennedy’s part but like I said before she more told us what happened instead of shown and yes I like seeing what people think but that is almost all we got from Kennedy. I know the book started a few years later since Kennedy started to change her life but I would have loved to read how she chose to change her life like that and what she was like; because now she is this sweet person who everybody loves.

The chemistry between Kye and Kennedy is definitely there! I did like that they went slow and it showed us how patient Kye actually is and that he is a perfect man for her. Now this story is about Kennedy who works at a camp for people for last stitch effort or they will be sent to prison or juvie. Kennedy and her fellow co-workers shows them what is important and how to be good again. Kye destroyed his job and was sent to this camp where he met Kennedy but when he finished his time at that camp he decided to stay on because he want a chance with Kennedy. Little did he know that he had to take it slow with her or he will chase her away. This is a book that was an okay read but I just wanted a little more out of it.

Cowboy Redemption (Down Under Cowboys #6)
By: Kasey Millstead
4/5 stars

Kennedy Crawly (Ava’s sister, h from book 2) was always bitchy & mean-spirited towards her sister when they were growing up and even for a while thereafter. It was easy to hate Kennedy as she did & said some deplorable things. But we did notice in the last book or 2 that she was back home in Pine Creek and getting along with Ava & Ava’s group of friends. In this book, we see that she has been on a road of redemption and working through how she behaved in the past. She also recognizes her triggers for making bad decisions & bad behavior. She currently works at second chance retreat work camp for wayward teens & adults.

Kye is a former professional footballer who ended up at the second chance retreat work camp. He likes Kennedy & she likes him, and they do begin dating, but are taking things slow at Kennedy’s request, in order not to trip her triggers. Kye is a patient & honest man, who is an all-around good guy. He wants to stay in the Pine Creek area instead of returning to his previous life and thus takes odd jobs, so that he can stay near Kennedy.

It was good to see Kennedy’s transition from the person she always had been to the woman she is today. There was redemption for her and Kye both. I wish there had been more from Kye’s POV, so that we could get a better feel for him and the depth of his character.

Though this entire series is set in Australia, I think this book has more Aussie-slang than the other books. Personally, I love it and try to imagine someone talking with the Aussie accent. I love that Kasey Millstead has given this to readers who may never be lucky enough to travel to Australia themselves.

There is one more book left in this series, Cowboy Endings, but I don’t know when that book is due to be released.

This is the first book I have read of this series as well as by Kasey and I fell in love with it. So this is based only on this book and not the ones Kennedy had previously appeared in. I don't know all of Kennedy's back story and how she use to be or what all she has done but this book did give you a little insight and man she was a start up b!tch to her sister when she was younger. Since then she has grown as a person and although her sister has forgiven her there are times she doesn't believe she should be.

Kye was a top football player and he played the game hard as well as his life. He had an issue with drinking and it was never just one. When trouble landed him at the hope center as his condition for no jail time he met Kennedy and started turning his life around.

But just when you think everything in your life is perfect something always bites you in the ass. Will Kennedy and Kye be able to get through this current situation or will it be too much for her to handle?

Would definitely recommend this book to others. And I know after reading this one I will be going back and reading the others from this series to learn what everyone else's stories are.

Fabulous read Kasey!!!

This was my second book that I have read from Kasey, but this was able to be read as a standalone in the series.

Cowboy Redemption is about Ava's sister, Kennedy, the bully. In the previous book, we watched Kennedy bully and tease Ava because she was jealous of her. But in this book, we see a completely different side to Kennedy as she has finally grown up. Kye is an exfootball player that is a drunk, and cannot hold his alcohol and anger together. This is where Kennedy and Kye's paths cross. They are both at a retreat, instead of being in jail/juvie. Their connection is instant, but neither one of them want to admit their feelings. What I loved about this couple was that they were not the normal book couple. They fought and argued, and everything wasn't all roses and kisses.

If you have not read Kasey's Pine Creek stories before, I highly recommend that you do! The only problem that I have with the book, is that they are not long enough! I find myself getting into the book and feeling disappointed once it is over because I want more! :)

Cute, fast read that I wished was longer . I loved the story though. I loved the beginning how the author basically asked us to keep and open mind about Kennedy since we already hate her . I enjoyed this read but it was a bit dry. Her attitude was to nonchalant which took away some of the passion . There were some heated moments that I enjoyed. I did like how this cowboy was once again straight forward. I will admit that the author missed a window of opportunity by not raising conflict between Kye and I think Malcolm was his name ? whatever . Well she could have worked on that . Also when kye went to jail . My heart broke because I thought he would be away for a long time but really ? !t was only two months. Six I understand but two ? I'm sorry I laughed. I still enjoyed this book though and can't wait for their endings !

Everyone has a past, some not so good, but it doesn't have to determine your future. That is true with Kennedy. In the past Down Under Cowboy books she is kind of a villain, someone the reader cannot stand. But reading the title you can't help to read and see if she has changed. Kye too has had a past, one that is more recent than Kennedy's but he does his best to get past it. Together they can pave a future together if one could let go of the past.

Cowboy Redemption was an enjoyable read, refreshing, an another great addition to the Down Under Cowboy series. It helps if you have read all the other books first. I did get a little confused with all the names of the children, but once I remembered, I was fine.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to hear Kennedy's story as she wasn't a nice person in the other books, but since I must read all of Kasey's books I pressed on, and I was quite pleased. When greeting your man always make sure he gets that kiss right off, “you didn’t give me a kiss,”he states, clearly ignoring the fact that I am now buck naked against him." When his woman is cross with him Kye's plan is seduction, “effing love this top, Kennedy. You bend over, I get the best view of your pretty ti***es. Love these shorts too.” I love this series and seeing the characters and love grow make me happy.

This is the first book I read in the series but I didn't have any problem reading it as a standalone.
I liked the story and the background about the retreat and the work they do there.
Kennedy grew up into a very nice person, even tho I have a feeling she was totally awful before!
Kye is am ex footballer and he is trying to get his life back on track, but he still has difficulties.
Their path cross at the retreat and they get to know each other..then one night everything goes south..well to know what happened you have to read it!
It was a good story, I read it fast and I loved how real it was.

I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this story. It was a quick read, but packed full of emotions and some drama. There wasn't a lot of angst, but just enough to get your heart racing. Kye was sexy, sweet and all male. Kennedy was tough, sweet and strong. They make the perfect couple. I can't wait for the next one to release.

This is another great book in this series and Kennedy's story has been a long time coming. She has come along way from the times she was a complete bitch to everyone especially her sister.

Kye has done something stupid when fame becomes too much. Once he sees Kennedy he nows what he wants.

Both of them need to get past what has happened in the past to get to their future.

I loved reading about Kennedy and was so glad to see her get her chance at a HEA and Kye was perfect for her. A strong ALPHA but a guy seeking his own redemption just like Kennedy.
This was a quick read with a sweet story. I personally would have liked to see a lot more of Kennedy & Kye much earlier on. All in all a nice sweet read.

I am a big fan of this series. I loved reading Kennedy and Kye's story. It was a 'real' down to earth story that tugged at my heartstrings a bit. I loved the way Kennedy and Kye were together, what Kennedy did for work, her family and seeing how they are doing was just fantastic. All in all a very enjoyable read. Not to mention, the hotness factor....Oh my!!!

This is all about second chances. For Kennedy this is about forgiveness and a new way of life and for Kye it is about starting over finding a new career. Then these two meet and WOW, there is a feeling that won't leave them. Will things work out for them? Will Kennedy give Kye a chance? We'll see! Loved keeping up with the rest of the gang too.

I received this book for an honest review. I gave this book 5 stars. Its such a great read. Both Kennedy and Kye need to find forgiveness and redemption. Can they find it in each other?? One would only hope. Once you start this book you wont want to put it down. And I wont spoil the book on you. I hate when reviews do that to us. Get the book and enjoy it.

IS SHE REDEEMED

Kennedy was the girl we all loved to hate from the start. This book explains why, but will you warm your heart to her.
The loving of a good man which she finds in Kye may go a long way toward that.
Mistakes are made hearts are shattered will it be good
I love these characters

I love this series but was left slightly disappointed in this book.

I was happy that Kennedy was able to redeem herself from her appalling behaviour towards Ava.

I found that this book seemed rushed and as a result seemed to lack the emotional connections found in the previous books.

I am however that the series is nearly at an end!

I love that the beginning of this novel has Kennedy asking us to come along on her story even though we probably don’t like her…… cos she is right, I didn’t like her in early books but damn did she change my mind. Loved meeting Kyle. The chemistry between the 2 is sizzling.

Another hot read

Another great read

It took me a bit to get into Kennedy and Kye's story but I really enjoyed it.

Kye is the former footy player and totally hot. Kennedy is mentioned in earlier books in the series and it's good to see how she redeems herself

Just ok for me. It's been awhile so it took me a minute to remember who Kennedy was. The interaction between the whole gang was great to see. Not my favorite of the set.
