Delving into untapped realms of terror, 'Sickle and Bone' offers a collection of chilling tales of the macabre, each possessing their own unique set of thrills. From the primeval perils of 'Prehistoric', to the claustrophobic horrors of 'The Cave', and beyond, each story presents a terrifying journey into the fears of the human psyche. All are richly told, with descriptions so vivid, each nightmare can be felt, as well as read.
Containing ten short stories, 'Sickle and Bone' is the debut horror anthology by British writer, Magda O'Toole.
easily one of the best short story anthologies i have ever read. every story pulled me in and each having their own reason for doing so. the writing was beautiful, i just couldn't help but get engrossed in every story! i would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a short story (and to everyone who doesn't then this book will definitely change their mind!)
although I haven't read many anthologies, this was absolutely fantastic! my favorite stories were 'prehistoric' and 'impostor.' the descriptive language was fantastic and I loved that all of the stories were so different yet all were perfectly creepy and interesting in their own way. I absolutely loved this book!
