I enjoy looking at interior design books like Vibrant Interiors. I'm looking for ideas because I certainly can't afford the services, fixtures, or furniture pictured. For instance, I loved this Vibia chandelier pictured in a Madrid apartment. When I did a Google search on it and saw the price, I quickly moved on. I did find some helpful photos, though. In this home, also in Madrid, Martin Pelaez Estudio solved an issue I've had in a couple of places I've lived beautifully. Instead of trying to remove a load-bearing column, they built an interesting table around it. Several pieces in the home, including this table, are meant to look like clouds. If you look closely, you will see clear legs supporting the table. It appears to float. Studio Milo in Milan sparked another idea. Since I can't afford the aforementioned chandelier, maybe I could do something like this ceiling treatment to dress up a simple fixture. Most of the homes pictured are in Europe, and all are very colorful. There are multiple examples of lovely color palettes and interesting ways to accent features with paint. Daniela Santos has included just the right amount of text with resources at the end for contacting the designers.
