"Discovering The Lady" is a delightful Regency romance that skillfully balances societal pressure with heartfelt emotion. Daisy Landish crafts a compelling narrative through Lady Charlotte Norrington, whose journey of self-discovery amidst the challenges of high society makes for an engaging and relatable tale. The chemistry between Charlotte and Anthony, the Duke of Banbury, is subtly developed, adding layers of tension and intrigue to their evolving relationship.

The plot, while rooted in the familiar themes of duty versus desire, manages to feel fresh thanks to Landish's deft handling of character growth. Charlotte’s internal conflict and the societal expectations placed upon her are portrayed with sensitivity and depth, making her struggle between convenience and love resonate throughout the story.

While the story itself is captivating, the narration by Zane Boyer was a bit of a letdown, particularly when it came to the female characters. Boyer’s portrayal of Lady Charlotte felt off, lacking the nuance and grace that her character demanded. His female voices, in general, took away some of the immersion, which was a shame given the strength of the plot. That said, his performance in other aspects of the narration was commendable, especially in capturing the charm and wit of the Duke of Banbury.

Overall, "Discovering The Lady" is a charming read and a strong start to The Norrington Collection. If you're a fan of clean Regency romances with well-rounded characters and emotional depth, this one is worth picking up—perhaps with a different narrator in mind.

Discovering the Lady was such a delightful little escape into Regency London. Lady Charlotte Norrington’s struggle between duty and her growing feelings for the Duke of Banbury made for a charming, heartfelt story, and I loved the clean, romantic tone throughout. It’s full of ballroom elegance, gentle tension, and that classic Regency longing that fans of the genre appreciate.

I listened to the audiobook, and I have to give special praise to the narrator, Zane Boyer. He did a marvelous job bringing the characters to life, and his narration made the story even more enjoyable. I was completely pulled in from start to finish.

The only reason I’m giving this four stars instead of five is because it was just too short, I wanted more time with these characters and their story! That said, it’s an easy, comfortable, and very enjoyable listen (or read), and even though it’s part of a series, it works perfectly well as a standalone.

I’ll definitely be looking for more from this author, because this sweet romance left me smiling and wishing the story hadn’t ended so soon.

Well written, full of drama, love, action, society, family, twists and turns. Another fabulous book by this author. Charlotte is the daughter of a Duke who left the family in not so good shape. Anthony is a new Duke who's father did the same. Charlotte and Anthony both have to marry for different reasons. She is being pushed to help her family and he is also the same. They were in a courtship 2 years ago that ended very badly for each of them. Now Charlotte is to trap another Duke but the timing is wrong and she is caught with Anthony. It results in a courtship between the two of them again, helping to keep the rumors of the Ton at bay. Whispers are always there till the next scandal occurs.As time goes on, they both discover the feelings they have and the truth comes out. Excellent book to read, will hold you till the end. Would recommend to others. I am an ARC and leave this unbiased, honest review.

I love regency short stories. Daisy Landish writes wonderful series and this one starts out with wonderful main characters that are well developed. The secondary characters float in and out at just the right pace for story flow. She uses time period words and phrases to make the story much more authentic.

This is a short regency piece with a sweet story. Charlotte faces misunderstandings that impact her and her family's future. I enjoyed the ample descriptions of the scenes through the lens of the Regency period.

This was my first tip toe into Daisy’s regency series and it was fun. I was able to listen to the audiobook and it was just over an hour long. But still fun. Daisy certainly knows how to write short romances and I just keep coming back. I love her books, and her writing is always well done. The narrator Zane Boyer did a good job.

Very fun quick read. Lady Charlotte has to marry well to help her family. They plot to capture a Duke but she gets caught with the wrong one. It is a fun turn of chance that leads to a very nice end.

Part of The Lady series, this is the first installment of The Norrington Collection, and it is off to a charming start. Charlotte carries the burden of securing her family's future, and thus must marry well. She meets Anthony, a new duke who also must look after the finances of his dukedom. Charlotte becomes compromised with Anthony, a man she cannot stand. Needless to say, she gets caught with the wrong duke. Will she still be able to fulfill the obligations to her family?
A lovely start to a new collection of Lady stories! I also listened to this as an audiobook and found it very enjoyable.
