I am a Laker fan. My good friend, Charlotte Helms, loves the Lakers. She is 86 years old... born in 1921 in California. Since her husband passed away 24 years ago, most of the men in her life are professional athletes: Lakers, LA Dodgers, San Diego Chargers, USC Trojans (semi-pro).

Because she is such a sports fanatic, I tend to buy her books about her teams. Christmas 2007 was this book. I get to read the books after she finishes.

This book is not well written nor very interesting. Unfortunaltely, it mostly focuses on Laker teams from the 70s, 80s, and 90s that I don't remember. My interest is in Shaq and Kobe Laker teams from 1999 to the present.
