Christmas Town : Christmas Town Series Book 1

Rate this book
NOTE FROM This book series is similar to a TV series or soap, in that each installment builds upon the previous installments. Therefore, the correct place to start is with Book 1. Books 1 & 2 are classic Christmas novels for general audiences of all ages. However, beginning with Book 3, a prevalent romance theme develops between two teenagers, which intensifies the further along you go. Thus, Books 3 and above might be considered PG-13, and parental guidance is suggested.

Christmas Town is Book #1 of the Christmas Town Series. Christmas Town is a story of a socially awkward and disadvantaged tween boy who is ordinary in most every way, except for one major difference. This particular boy decides to take one simple action to help somebody; and his good deed ends up changing the entire town in the most epic ways.

Christmas Town is a story that can happen in any town. It is a story of what happens when the best of humanity comes out of at least one person who is willing to try. It is a story that will pull at your heartstrings, make you laugh, and make you cry. It is a story that will leave you a changed person, and show you that the ‘Magic of Christmas’ is within all of us. It is a story of inspiration, hope, and triumph; all under the most difficult of circumstances. It is a coming-of-age story; and it is a story that makes us question our own possibilities, and empowers us to become something greater.

Christmas Town contains the very essence of what ‘the magic of Christmas’ is all about. Most importantly, Christmas Town shows us the way forward to a better life during such difficult times. It will surely become a modern classic.

The Christmas Town Series is a beautiful, heartwarming, coming-of-age story of a boy who goes from being impoverished and bullied, to a young man who becomes a celebrated town hero and business prodigy. His heart is always in the right place, and he does everything for the right reasons.

We follow the main character’s life journey, as he navigates serious real-world challenges. The Christmas Town Series is not only a year-round celebration of Christmas, but it is a character study in compassion, decency, and integrity. It is about young people taking responsibility for their own actions and for the future of their community. It is also about the very deep and meaningful relationships which develop between our main character and various adults who surround him.

Books 1 and 2 of the series are for ‘General Audiences’ of all ages. Beginning with Book 3, our main character is well into adolescence, and as such, there is a teen romance theme to the storyline. As the installments and romance storyline progresses, there are scenes of implied intimacy. Books 3 and above might be classified as “PG-13,” and parental guidance is suggested. With that said, many readers will find that the teen romance exhibits a positive and loving example of a healthy and responsible relationship. However, those offended by teen relationships might find some of the content objectionable.

The Christmas Town Series comes to us from the same author who brought us the epic 40+ book series, Living A Meaningful Life, which is perhaps the largest family saga series written in recent history. The Christmas Town Series is designed to eventually reach the same status.

There’s nothing more beautiful, humbling, and heartwarming than Brian Hunter’s stories. The characters are always genuine, deeply caring, and can certainly teach us a thing or two about being a good human and friend. “Christmas Town” is no exception, but in addition to Hunter’s fantastic storytelling he’s added a hint of the Christmas spirit.

“Christmas Town” holds a small town, a struggling economy, and a kid with nearly nothing to his name but his word. What starts as a project to help his friend’s struggling family store turns into something the whole town can be excited about. Piece by piece this story comes together until even Hallmark can’t top the genuine spirit you’ll feel.

In classic Brian Hunter fashion, he once again leaves out the name of his main character, something that can only be intentional as he gives readers the opportunity to slot themselves into his kind acts and service. Whether befriending bullies, caring about the world around you, or speaking from the heart, this story warms from the inside out as the most wonderful time of the year quickly approaches.

Hunter begins with a sixth grader, some free time after school, and a simple vision and turns it into a beautiful new series. Once again teaching readers to see the good in people, the kindness in the world, and the impacts of our decisions. With a can of paint, a bit of hard work, and a beautiful soul, “Christmas Town” will warm even the prickliest of Grinches.

A must read family Christmas story of how a young, bullied 6th grader, finds the courage to rise above his circumstances and set off a series of events that changes him, his friends, his town, and the Christmas spirit! We sometimes lose our way in life and become complacent at a time when most people need the support and kindness from those around them. A heartfelt story of hope and a bit of ‘magic’ to rekindle the Christmas spirit in all of us!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Charming story of a small town struggling to stay afloat and the heroic efforts of a young boy to lead the charge of survival. My only negative comment would be that I never need to see the word “quipped” used ever again, relentlessly over-used. Would have liked to know the main character’s name too, hard to relate to someone who remains nameless throughout.

Christmas Town

This book was interesting and creative. From the beginning I feel it had an old fashioned town feel. I also think the main character must have had a a great love for his town. The biggest problem is - if I never hear the words smirked or quipped again I will be a happy person!

Christmas Town.

I loved this book, which goes to show you that no matter how small you start with something, it call grow larger. Also show kindness, to each other, even if you don't expect anything in return

Miracles do happen

I enjoyed seeing how a community can help and learn together. When people start to care about each other, miracles can take place.
